OnePlus has started rolling out Oxygen OS v2.1.3 OTA update for the OnePlus X smartphone, as it promised couple of weeks back, when it rolled out the OxygenOS 2.1.2 update. This update finally fixes SD card issues, including option to now move apps to and from the SD card, but option to save photos or videos directly to the SD card is not available yet. HTC on Wednesday announced and showcased its iPhone 6/6s-lookalike HTC One A9 in India alongside the all new mid-range HTC Desire 828 Dual SIM smartphone. While the official pricing isn’t yet disclosed, we think that HTC will not price it beyond Rs. 30,000. The phone will be made available in next two weeks, said HTC at an event in New Delhi. LG has announced LG Ray X190, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The first smartphone in the new One A series was unveiled last month, and packs a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense UI on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), RAW image capture and an Ultrapixel front-facing camera. Last month Google announced Accelerated Mobile Pages, its new open source initiative to improve the performance of the mobile web pages. Now the company has announced that first accelerated pages will come sometime in early 2016, so all the traffic from Google Search will go to Accelerated Mobile Pages. This competes with Facebook Instant Articles that was launched earlier this year for iPhone. It was also launched for Android users in India this month. Lenovo launched Vibe S1, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in India earlier this week, exclusively on Amazon.in, priced at Rs.15,999. We recently brought you the unboxing and the first impressions and photo gallery of the Midnight Blue version, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Vibe S1 is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor with eight ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.69GHz per core and has Mali-T760 MP2 GPU. We had already seen the new Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A7100) smartphone in several benchmark listings, now the smartphone has been certified on TENAA (Via) in China. It shows the design of the smartphone for the first time, which is similar to the Galaxy S6 series with a glass back and curved sides with a metal frame. Even though it has the same 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display present in first Galaxy A7, the successor has a slightly curved glass on the front.
A new report suggests that future iPhones from Apple will use OLED displays manufactured by Samsung in 2018. The report is more of a rumor than a confirmed agreement between the two companies.
