I’ve been spending some Time with the Nokia X6 recently, in Fact a lot of Time. I got ahold of the X6 thanks to Nokia Austria and was rather skeptic, as it seems to be a rather plasticky Device, but then again, it has Capacitive.. capacitive.. *drool*. First, I didn’t expect much, as the N97mini was the Device I was aiming for, but to spoil some of the Conclusion, I spent more Time with the X6, than the N97mini. Why?

Breaking news from MaemoArena , Nokia is finally rolling out the PR 1.2 firmware update for the Nokia N900. This update was leaked earlier and Nokia had issued a warning not to update using the unofficial source and that it could damage the device. This update brings tons of changes to the device and was eagerly awaited by the Maemo community . This update adds features like Portrait mode in Browser, Facebook IM supports, Email fixes, Skype Video Calling, Maps UI changes and lots more
Nokia and Yahoo have finally announced a partnership today in New York which was codenamed as Project Nike prior to this. This might be significant for Nokia who has an ever declining market share in USA which is one of the most competitive mobile markets in the world. Nokia and Yahoo will collaborate on Email , IM , Maps. Nokia will power Yahoo Maps. We’ll be posting more details about this soon. The Nokia 6700 Slide which was just recently launched in India has landed in our house too and before we put our grubby mitts on it, we decided to share with you the first pictures of us taking it out of its box and discovering it for the first time.
Syntonetic the company which released the PlaylistDJ app for Nokia Touchscreen phones is now making the app available for free for non-touchscreen Nokia phones too. The app basically analyzes your music library stored on the phone and then displays tracks based on the mood of the song – joy, passion, anger and tempo etc. The app has is approaching 1 million downloads on the OVI Store already.

Here are some cool hands on photos of Nokia C6 Black Edition . We have been tracking the C6 ever since it leaked and it was announced last month and it is expected to be available in India shortly . The C6 is a QWERTY Slider phone from Nokia and brings a new design to the table. It packs 4 rows of keys and a joystick on the right. The phone has physical keys for call , menu and hangup on the front and can be accessed without opening the slider.
In a fresh video two games Rally Master and Bounce are seen running on a Nokia N8 Prototype. The graphics looks pretty good for a Symbian phone. We have no clue whether these are running native version of the games or some 3rd party port. Anyway N8 fans will enjoy this one for sure.
