The price cut might be because of the weak sales of the phone or not the numbers the company was expecting. Essential says that as a young startup, with the likes of Apple and Samsung taking up the significant market value, word of mouth plays a vital role and has a lot of value, hence the price cut. WhatsApp is rolling out a new live location sharing feature on both Android and iOS today. You could choose to share your real-time location for 15 minutes, 1 hour or 8 hours with your loved ones in chat message with a single person or a group. I always dislike giving directions to people over phone and have always relied on WhatsApp location sharing feature to keep it simple. This new update makes location sharing even more seamless.

Huawei P10 and Mate 9 series will get EMUI 8.0 Android 8.0 Oreo update

Huawei introduced Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones running Android 8.0 (Oreo) with new EMUI 8.0. at an event in Germany yesterday. Dr. Chenglu Wang, President of Software Engineering, Huawei at a separate briefing in China confirmed that the P10 and Mate 9 series that includes Huawei P10, P10 Plus, Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro will get the EMUI 8.0-based Android Oreo update.

ASUS has announced Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite (ZB553KL), the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in Philippines. It has similar specifications as the Zenfone 4 Selfie single-camera version that was launched in India last month but this is powered by Snapdragon 425 and has 2GB RAM, instead of Snapdragon 430 and 3GB of RAM. After leak, BlackBerry Mobile has officially announced the TCL-made BlackBerry Motion, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone at the GITEX Technology Week in Dubai. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Mobile platform, runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) and has a water-resistant body with IP67 ratings. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the KEYone.
