Xiaomi announced Oreo based MIUI Global Beta program for Mi 6 back in December 2017 and Oreo based MIUI Global Beta ROM for the device was released in January. Now the company has released MIUI 9.2 Global Stable ROM for the smartphone which is based on Android 8.0 (Oreo), this is the first smartphone from Xiaomi receiving Oreo based MIUI Stable update. Android Oreo adoption rate is slowly increasing with year end, many manufacturers have already revealed list of phones eligible for android update. Xiaomi is amongst the OEMs which have not yet published any such list, recently company rolled out Oreo Beta update for Mi A1 which is maiden Android One device from company till date and recently company also announced Oreo Alpha testing (MIUI China ROM) for Mi Mix 2.
