Xolo launched the A500S in the A Series back in August. Now the company has launched XOLO X-Themes app exclusively for the Xolo A500S. It comes with 6 pre-installed themes and users can download 5 more themes online through the Xolo X-Themes app. Xolo has  added the incredible Hulk theme recently, and you also get instant notification on availability of new online themes. This lets you personalize the entire Ui of the phone including the lock screen. LG G Flex with 6-inch 720p Curved OLED display, Self-repairing back cover announced

LG G Flex, the company’s first smartphone with a curved OLED display is now official. It has a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Curved OLED display, powered by a 2.26 GHz  quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The Curved Plastic OLED display from LG Display has Real RGB sub-pixels for better colors and the display is vertically concave from top to bottom with a radius of 700mm. Panasonic recently launched the P11 which has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2(Jelly Bean). The Panasonic P11 comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and it also comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. Panasonic P11 has a solid build quality with a matte finish back that gives it a good grip and feels nice on the hand.

Zen Ultrafone 701 FHD with 5-inch 1080p display now available for Rs. 17999

Zen launched the Ultrafone 701 HD, the company’s first smartphone with HD display back in April, now the Zen Ultrafone 701 FHD, the company’s latest flagship smartphone with 5-inch full HD display is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Intex and Micromax launched their flagship smartphones with a full HD display recently. iBall Andi 4.5z, the company’s new smartphone in the Andi series is now available from online retailer Shopclues and packs a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and packs a 1700 mAh battery. This would compete with the Zen Ultrafone 502 that has similar features, which went on sale last week. Panasonic P11 Unboxing

Panasonic might have announced its retirement from the consumer smartphone market worldwide, but weirdly enough, that has not stopped the company from launching devices in India. One of them is the Panasonic P11, which seems like a specced down version of the P51 that we reviewed earlier. The P11 has almost the same specifications as the P51, with a quad core 1.2 GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, but running on the older Android 4.1 operating system. But what’s striking is the outer shell, in a radical fluorescent green colour. But not to worry, there are replaceable covers in the box, which we show you in the unboxing video here –

Xolo A500L with 4-inch display, dual-core processor and Android 4.2 coming soon

Xolo launched the A500S back in August, now it is all set to launch the A500L in the A Series. It has appeared on the official Xolo website and packs a 4-inch  (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT 6572 processor with Mali 400 MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Xolo smartphones. This would compete with the recently launched Panasonic T31 that has almost similar specifications.

Micromax has finally launched the most expected Canvas Turbo, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India. It has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) IPS display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera similar to the Canvas 4. It has Camerazzi camera which offers a lot of features including 360 degree panorama, Cinemagraph that lets usr animate still photographs (.GIF) and Object Eraser feature allows users to erase unwanted objects from still pictures that are shot with the smartphone. Nokia Lumia 1520 Vs LG G2 Hands On

Nokia World event, held at Abu Dhabi witnessed a lot of device announcements from the Finnish company and among the smartphones announced was Nokia’s first phablet – Nokia Lumia 1520. Nokia Lumia 1520 is the first Windows Phone device to be powered by a quad-core processor and not only is it the first phablet from Nokia, but it is also the first Windows Phone phablet. We bring you a quick hands-on comparison video between Nokia’s beast of a device and LG’s flagship – LG G2. LG G2 is also powered by the same quad-core processor that powers the giant Lumia 1520, but everything else about the two phones is quite different.

Nokia Lumia 1520 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Hands On

Nokia announced their first phablet – Nokia Lumia 1520 at the Nokia World event held in Abu Dhabi. Nokia Lumia 1520 is not only the first phablet from Nokia, but it is also the first Windows Phone phablet and the first Windows Phone device to run on a quad-core processor. Nokia is using the best quad-core chip in the market for it – Snapdragon 800. We bring you the hands-on comparison between Nokia’s first phablet and Samsung’s latest flagship – Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Samsung was the first to introduce the phablet category and now are in the third iteration of their flagship phablet while Nokia are just taking their first step in the phablet territory.

Nokia Lumia 1520 vs Apple iPhone 5s Hands On

Nokia launched a lot of devices at their Nokia World Event in Abu Dhabi. Among the devices that were launched, one smartphone stood out, not just in terms of size, but in terms of other things too. As the smartphone market is taking a turn towards the phablet segment, Nokia launched their first phablet Nokia Lumia 1520. Nokia Lumia 1520 stood out because it is the first Windows Phone phablet, the first Windows Phone 8 smartphone with a quad-core processor and the first Windows Phone device that has a Full HD 1080p display. Although Apple is yet to goto the phablet territory, we have Apple’s latest and greatest smartphone – Apple iPhone 5S against the Lumia 1520.
