Google is all set to launch a new Android One smartphone this month in India, according to a latest report from The Economic Times. The company will unveil a Lava made Android One smartphone on July 14, priced at Rs 12,000.

Lava to invest Rs. 1,200 crore for manufacturing
Lava International on Thursday announced that it has crosses US$ 1 billion (Rs. 6300 crore approx.) in revenue in FY14-15, registering more than 100% growth over last year. Overall smartphone sales witnessed a three-fold growth with 300% increase in volume (YoY), compared to FY 2013-14 said the company. Lava Iris 504Q+ Unboxing
Lava’s Iris 504Q, a mid range phone that released last year, came with a great screen, a decent camera and good build quality. Fast forward to now, we have its successor, the Lava Iris 504Q+, which comes with some minor changes in specifications as well as build quality and more importantly, the camera. Priced at 13,990 Rs. the Iris 504Q+ sports a 10 MP Sony sensor and an upgraded in-built storage of 8 GB, which makes it slightly better than its predecessor. Lava announced its new phone, the Iris Pro 30 at an event in Delhi yesterday. The company talked in length about its focus on hardware quality and materials used. In our hands on impressions, we found that despite looking very heavily inspired by the iPhone, the phone does have better build quality than most others in its category. Lava E-Tab XTRON+ Unboxing

Lava Iris 504Q with gesture controls, 5 inch HD screen launched for Rs 13,499
Lava just introduced its new handset, the Iris 504q, at an event in Delhi. Powered by a 1.2Ghz MediaTek processor, the handset also has 1GB of RAM. The Android 4.2 running phone is geared towards media consumption thanks to the large 5 inch HD 720p display. A front facing 2MP camera is provided to facilitate video calls while a rear facing 8MP shooter takes care of photography duties. The camera is capable of capturing video in 1080p resolution. Lava to launch a new Iris smartphone with gesture user interaction in June
Lava has announced that the company plans to launch a new smartphone under the Iris brand that that can communicate with the user even in signs. Lava says, “This cool feature will allow a user to interact with the phone and use the camera with just a swipe of his hand in the air.” The company says that this would be slimmest in its category and run on the latest version of the Android OS, 4.2 obviously.
