Lava just introduced its new handset, the Iris 504q, at an event in Delhi. Powered by a 1.2Ghz MediaTek processor, the handset also has 1GB of RAM. The Android 4.2 running phone is geared towards media consumption thanks to the large 5 inch HD 720p display. A front facing 2MP camera is provided to facilitate video calls while a rear facing 8MP shooter takes care of photography duties. Lava to launch a new Iris smartphone with gesture user interaction in June

Lava has announced that the company plans to launch a new smartphone under the Iris brand that that can communicate with the user even in signs. Lava says, “This cool feature will allow a user to interact with the phone and use the camera with just a swipe of his hand in the air.”  The company says that this would be slimmest in its category and run on the latest version of the Android OS, 4.2 obviously. Android Jelly Bean port ready for Intel smartphones, No word on roll out

The Android 4.1 build is complete and is being used as a daily driver by Intel employees said Mike Bell, Mobile group General Manager, in an interview with PC World.

LAVA XOLO X900 First Unboxing


Here is the world’s first unboxing of the world’s first Intel powered phone the Lava XOLO X900 first only on FoneArena. This Android smartphone went on sale on April 23rd in India for Rs.21990 available only online. Intel and Lava showcased this device at MWC 2012 in February this year and it’s hit the market this month. Actually India is the first country in which the XOLO X900 is being launched. The phone is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel ATOM processor and packs 1GB of RAM. It has a 8MP Camera along with a dedicated camera key. It packs a 4inch screen with a 1024×600 pixels resolution. Lava Mobiles today launched the world’s first Intel powered handset. Called the XOLO X900 , the specifications include a 1.6Ghz Atom Z2460  processor capable of Hyper Threading. The graphics chip is clocked at 400Mhz enabling playback of Full HD content and HD quality games.
