Google Navigation will come to iPhone, but only if Apple approves

Google which announced Google Maps Navigation for Android 2.0 yesterday, told today that Navigation could also come to the iPhone, if and only if Apple approves it.

In an article to AppleInsider yesterday, Google said “Apple is a close partner, we would like to support the iPhone with Maps Navigation. Millions of users experience Google Maps on the iPhone. We will continue to work with Apple to bring innovation, including Latitude and Navigation, to users but you will have to speak to Apple about its availability”. Nokia Sues Apple. It Says iPhone infringes on ten different patents

Apple iPhone 3GS vs Nokia N97 Comparison Pics

You must have seen the N97 vs iPhone 3G Pictures But here is a photo gallery showing the comparison between the Apple  iPhone 3GS and Nokia N97. Well the 3GS is not much different from the 3G in terms of external hardware. The internal hardware had some great improvements including a faster CPU and more RAM for apps. Interview with Henri Moissinac about Facebook Mobile and India

I recently had an interesting discussion with Henri Moissinac of Facebook Mobile about their Mobile Strategy , their growth in the mobile space and their plans for one of the largest markets in the World – India.

Nokia is the largest handset manufacturer in the world and Facebook is currently the largest social networking site. The partnership between Facebook and Nokia started with Nokia’s popular devices Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 and the partnership has been quite fruitful till now, with applications and home screen widgets released for Nokia 5800 and N97. That being said, the future possibilities seem endless and quite promising with the recent announcement of the Lifecasting application at Nokia World which ushers in a lot of excitement for the users.

The Facebook app on the iPhone platform is by far one of the most downloaded applications on the Apple App Store and the recent 3.0 version of the app is quite simply one of the best applications developed ever on the iPhone platform. AT&T Finally To Launch MMS for iPhone On September 25

AT&T has finally announced that, on September 25, it is going to roll out a software update which is going to add the required support for sending and receiving MMS messages for all its iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS customers.

One of the major qualm of iPhone customers was the lack of MMS support from the AT&T side although iPhone had added the MMS support in its 3.0 Software Upgrade.

AT&T has stated that the projected high data usage of the iPhone’s multimedia capabilities was one of the main reason behind the delay in the rollout of MMS Support for all the iPhone 3G and 3GS Customers. You can read the complete AT& T’s company statement here.

Now that AT&T is rolling out MMS Support for iPhone 3G and 3GS customers, I wonder how long will it take for Vodafone to roll out the same thing in India. What do you say? Do Pass on your comments.

China Unicom and Apple bring iPhone to China , India is still waiting for 3GS

China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. has struck a deal with the hi-tech giant Apple for the first time that will grant it exclusive rights to sell iPhone in China for three whole years. The highly anticipated release of the iPhone in China is expected to be a boost for both Apple and Unicom as the mainland has about 687 million mobile phone users which is more than twice the U.S population.  image
