I want my iPhone 3GS, iDay has gone by and still no sign of India launch

Well personally I’m very disappointed with Apple for not bringing the iPhone 3GS to India even on Independence day. Looks like Apple is not very happy to bring the iPhone 3GS to India. Just looking at the enthusiasm of wannabe 3GS users , the iPhone is certainly the object of desire of many consumers even though its expensive. The phone is already doing well in the grey market with shops reportedly selling atleast 1 phone daily in Chennai and Mumbai.

Apple iPhone 3.0.1 OS Update Released Fixes SMS Vulnerability

Last week, O2 a UK based carrier said that Apple was due to roll out a new firmware update for the Apple iPhone in the coming weeks. Well now O2’s prediction has come right. Are you waiting for the Apple iPhone 3GS to hit indian shores ?  Some good news for you. A user named Charan left a comment in our iPhone 3GS India Launch post and he has even mentioned the official price of the iPhone 3GS in India on Airtel .  This is what he had to say

The Iphone 3GS would be Launched on 9th August in India, The Price is 32000/- for 16GB Version and 39000/- for 32GB Version. I got the Information from one of my Friends who is working with Airtel.

Nokia N97 vs Apple iPhone 3G Comparision with Pics

At the Nokia N97 Event we got a chance to test the iPhone 3G along with the N97.Since the N97 is seen as a iPhone Killer or even iPhone 3G killer from Nokia (5800 achieved great success as an iPhone killer atleast in the music phone market ) . The situation is interesting now because both iPhone 3G and N97 are going to selling in the same price band of Rs.30000-35000.($600 approx for unlocked phones).

Some Anonymous source used the contact form on the blog and sent me a pic of what looks like the Apple iPhone 2009. Its not credible . I have never heard from the this guy before. So for now this is another rumour of the next gen iPhone.

Turn your S60 Phone into an iPhone with Mmmooo’s MyPhone

MyPhone is an application shell which can turn the UI of your S60 phone into an iPhone UI. The application has 2 different versions, one for the 3rd Gen Phone like E71, N73, N81 etc and another for 5th Gen Phones like 5800XM and Nokia N97.

The 5th Gen Edition of MyPhone is basically a flash based application with an iPhone kinda UI. But it looks quite impressive with a “Slide to unlock” feature, a Bottom Dock containing shortcuts for “Messages”, “Calls” and “Contacts” and many other shortcuts on the Home Screen as in an iPhone. You can also change to various other homescreens just by sliding forward/backwards on the UI. Nokia 5800 Hidden Theme Effects

Today I was just exploring my phone as usual, when I found out a completely unseen area in Themes Section, called as “Theme Effects”. Inquisitively, I just turned it on and checked the changes it made. Man O Man, I thanks my stars for that.
