Mobile Big Wigs to roll out their own desi application stores
Leading Mobile Phone manufacturers like Nokia, Apple and Research in Motion (RIM) are in the process of rolling out localised versions of their application stores in India. These application stores will have a collection of applications which are customized for the Indian market.
Nokia, which recently started its Ovi Store, has plans to roll out the localised version by December this year. Though in the initial stages, Ovi Store will be available only in smartphones loaded with the Symbian S60 operating system, but Nokia has promised that it will be enabling the app store for all its phones by early next year. Mobile Number Portability Launch Date Announced
Another much hyped and talked about term in the Indian mobile industry is Mobile Number Portability (MNP) using which a mobile customer can migrate to various other operators retaining his existing number.
Earlier it was reported that MNP implementation is on its way to India. But recently the regulatory agencies have come up with the exact launch date for MNP services in various parts of India. Finally the phone was made official at MWC 09 at Barcelona this February ..
The price of the phone is expected to be Rs.23500 according to the dealer . Not yet confirmed though

TRAI: AIRTEL is the MOST CONGESTED Network
Do not get shocked to hear this!! Its obvious that the service provider growing with the fastest pace will definitely be congested. Though, there were confusion about the congestion among the 2 leading players, but its now confirmed via this official reports.
In its report, TRAI says, “Airtel has emerged as the most congested GSM network for the period of Oct-Dec."
So, I am just wondering, what are the guys at Airtel are doing to sort it out and get thing better?

Security Issues Hovers Over 3G Services
Its really sad to know that, after the launch of 3G services with lots of hardships, they are now being convicted to create some security issues for the nation. As of now, there are no ways to monitor 3G calls on real time basis and the Intelligence Bureau is concerned about how secure they are (3G services) for the nation.
Reportedly, its been said that, the Intelligence Bueareu of the country wants to halt 3G services in the country until such real time monitoring mechanism is implemented, whereas telecom companies are of the view that, such monitoring mechanism should be implemented by the security agencies of the country as they are concerned about such security issues.
Well, as of now, there are no such official notice about pausing the services but its for sure that 3G will be a hot point of debate in the days to come.. Hope everything goes well! 🙂
