Asus set to announce the ZenFone Go soon – A MediaTek powered budget smartphone


New sources suggest that Asus is planning to announce a new budget smartphone and that it will be powered by Mediatek’s processor instead of the Intel processors that are currently used on their ZenFone 2 lineup.

Google rumored to be working on a budget Nexus smartphone

Google is reportedly working on a low budget Nexus smartphone and has teamed up with Taiwanese chip maker MediaTek for the same, according to a Chinese website MTKSJ. The entry-level Nexus is rumoured to be priced as low as $100 (about Rs 6,000) and hence will fall in the category of lower mid-range phones.

On that note, we have here, the Sony Xperia E1 Dual, which is the company’s entry level model that competes with the various Micromax and Karbonn devices of our market, let alone Samsung or Nokia. Sony has been making devices in this segment for a long time, and the last popular one in this range was the Xperia Tipo Dual. Consider the E1 Dual as a spiritual successor of the Tipo. Apple’s iPhone sales grow 400 percent in India

Credit Suisse has issued a note to clients stating that iPhone sales in India have shot up by close to 400 percent. Reported by the Economic Times, the note suggests that the EMI plans and other schemes initiated in India have had the desired effect resulting in quadrupled sales.
