Last year, the government introduced Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Schemes for Mobile Manufacturing and Large Scale Electronics Manufacturing that provides incentive of 6% to 4% on incremental sales of goods under target segments that are manufactured in India, for a period of five years. Yesterday, Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that this scheme for a period of 2020-21 till 2024-25 has been extended by one year i.e. till 2025-26. Microsoft has released the first Insider Preview of the Windows 11, as it had promised at its event last week. The first Windows 11 beta has a build 22000.51, and it’s available for Insiders in the Dev channel. To install Windows 11 Insider Preview Builds, you must be running a licensed version of Windows 10 on your device.
Update: According to a new Bloomberg report, the Pixel 5a is expected to launch in August. It is not clear if the company is planning to launch the 4G version of the phone for other markets like India. After the Nord CE 5G and the Nord N200, OnePlus is said to be gearing up to launch the OnePlus Nord 2, the company’s next mid-range smartphone and the successor to the first Nord. Now the CAD-based renders of the smartphone has surfaced, thanks to @OnLeaks. This shows a 6.43-inch punch-hole screen, same as the Nord CE, and this should be the same FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The camera part looks similar to the OnePlus 9 series. After rumours, Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 888 Plus 5G Mobile Platform, an upgrade to the Snapdragon 888 that was introduced back in December last year. Compared to Snapdragon 888, the Plus version offers an increased Qualcomm Kryo 680 CPU Prime core clock speed at up to 2.995GHz, up 5.2% compared to the predecessor and the 6th generation Qualcomm AI Engine with up to 32 TOPS AI performance compared to 26 TOPS AI performance in the predecessor, which is a 20% improvement.
