Symbian SMS Manager by Oxygen

Well everyone reading this blog might have heard about oxygen phone manager.. Oxygen is a member of the Forum Nokia Program (Premium Partners) and the famous developers of the Oxygen Nokia Phone Manager. well this time they are out with an excellent Symbian SMS Manager.

Symbian SMS Manager is designed to manage SMS messages on PC easily and conveniently.

The program represents all messages (SMS, Smart SMS, MMS, E-mail and others) stored in your phone. It allows you to read Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Sent, My folders, Mailbox folders content, display basic message types – SMS, MMS, E-mail, Beamed (received via BT or IrDA), BIO (Picture message, Operator Logo, Ringing tone, WAP access point), read and display file attaches for MMS, E-mail and Beamed messages. It also can create and delete custom message folders, delete messages from your phone and move them between folders. You also will be able to create and send both plain and Unicode SMS messages to individual recipients as well as to contact groups.

Symbian SMS Manager works under Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems family via Nokia DKU-2/CA-53/CA-70 cable (for Nokia models), Bluetooth or IR (Infrared) connection, Samsung PC-DLC cable (for Samsung SGH-D720/720S/728/730).


The program represents all messages (SMS, Smart SMS, MMS, E-mail and others) stored in your phone the way e-mail messages can be presented in your E-mail client.

The program displays basic message types – SMS, MMS, E-mail, Beamed (received via BT or IrDA), BIO (Picture message, Operator Logo, Ringing tone, WAP access point), reads and displays file attaches for MMS, E-mail and Beamed messages. It also can work with custom message folders, delete messages from your phone and move them between folders.

The program has full Unicode support – information can be entered and stored in any language.

In Symbian SMS Manager you can find messages by their details. You can create and send both plain and Unicode SMS messages to individual recipients as well as to contact groups in the E-mail client-like interface. You can move one, two or more selected messages between the folders, as supported by the phone.

friends at Engadget Mobile really like the software means its really cool and its worth the price they ask for downloading the application. its worthy to note the Nseries PC suite desnt offer any SMS,MMS, Email management suite . and beyond that this app is really trendsetting and highly efficient.

Windows Mobile 6.1 is here!

Microsoft launched the newest version of the Windows Mobile 6.1 Operating System for mobiles.
A new version of the Internet Explorer Mobile was also launched, which adds desktop-grade Web browsing to Windows Mobile phones.

Features of the new software: New timesaving features, easier phone navigation and management, and increased security safeguards.

Videocon to bid for Motorala’s Mobile business

So screamed the headlines in almost all Business dailies.

The Videocon group is interested in buying Motorola’s handset business.

Motorola’s handset wing is struggling for survival, as was evident from their poor showing at all world events such as CES 2008 and MWC 2008.

“We have hired one of the world’s top three investment bankers who will convey our interest to buy out the mobile handset business of the US company,” Group Chairman Venugopal Dhoot told Business Standard.
According to Dhoot, Videocon is ready to launch its pan Indian GSM mobile operations at an investment of Rs 6000 crores.

“The Indian market for mobile phones is around 120 million units a year and we have our own retail chain stories (Next) that we can leverage. Airtel launching 3G services in India

After the Indian government gave green flag to launching 3G services in India, Airtel has taken this story further. The company will be launching 3G services soon. Airtel has recently tested 3G applications with various suppliers and will be soon launching 3G services in India. Initially the company will be launching these services in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore cause these are the 2 places where Airtel has testes their 3G applications, reports Economic Times. The DoT will be allotting 3G spectrum to various mobile service players in India and Airtel will be taking good advantage of this opportunity. Airtel has also partnered with SingTel who has experience is offering 3G services. By the way, many countries have started adopting 4G when India is on its way to embrace 3G but I am sure that India will catch up soon.

Bad news for BlackBerry users

The DoT (Department of Telecommunications) Government of India has issued a stern warning to telecom companies to put the required security system in place within 15 days or stop the services.

Officials in DoT said a directive had been issued to service providers to work with officials of Blackberry licensor Research in Motion (RIM) of Canada to provide fool-proof security system.

Apple iPhone news – new version of SDK out !

Like Nokia came up with the Nokia 5500 Sports edition and Samsung recently launching the miCoach phone in partnership with Adidas, Apple has filed many patents till now, which reveals that iPhone will not be less than your personal trainer, only thing is that it cannot talk. In future iPhone will have an enhanced version of the Nike+iPod application also, using a scanning function you will be able to scan food packets to get nutritional info about what you are buying. The built is sensors and accelerometers of the iPhone will make this possible.

Handwriting Recognition on iPhone

I dont know what but these days everybody is going mad about thinking what Apple is going to do next with their iPhone.
