LG Viewty Smart hits indian shores
LG India just launched the Viewty Smart GC900 in Mumbai today. The phone boasts of a 8 MP Camera with a Powerful LED Flash and a gorgeous capactive WVGA touchscreen display. It sports the S-Class interface which we saw in the Arena already.
Airtel and RIM bring the BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphone a.ka. Gemini to India. And whats the most incredible thing about this phone is the price. Blackberry phones are usually known for their expensive price tag. But the Gemini breaks the myth and is priced at Rs.15990. The phone is aimed at youth and consumers looking for messaging / email , social networking , music and entertainment.

Very soon after the Nokia N97 was launched, consumers started complaining about straight line or scratches appearing on the Nokia N97 camera lens. The scratches were appearing on most handsets regardless of the time used, country of purchase or country of origin.

Well now brkix, a member of the Nokiausers.net forums has uncovered the reason behind the Nokia N97 camera lens scratching problem. After dismantling the Nokia N97, brkix reports that there is a piece of plastic with a square piece of metal attached to notify the phone of the opening of the lens cover and in turn activate or deactivate the camera application.
The piece of plastic is the blue stuff which we see below the lens cover. This was the same thing people used to think was a cleaning cloth. The blue stuff is too close to the camera lens and it scratches the lens when it is moved especially if there is dust trapped in between.
After 5800 has turned out to be a major hit for Nokia, they are now readying for a small update to its first touch screen handset in the form of Nokia 5800i XpressMusic phone. After you hear the name, you may think that this is a upgrade over Nokia 5800 with some extra feature but sorry to disappoint, this model is not an upgrade over Nokia 5800 but in fact a downgrade over the present model, The Wi-fi connectivity has been removed from this particular model. Last week, O2 a UK based carrier said that Apple was due to roll out a new firmware update for the Apple iPhone in the coming weeks. Well now O2’s prediction has come right.
