Acer Stream with 1GHz CPU, Android 2.1 , 720p HD video recording

Acer has just launched the Acer Stream during an event in China / Taiwan and the specs looks pretty impressive.The phone is powered by a 1GHz Snap dragon processor and runs on Android 2.1+ Acer UI. The display is a 3.7inch AMOLED touchscreen.

There’s 3G/HSDPA,WiFi(n) ,Bluetooth, mini HDMI. The phone also packs a 5 MP Camera which does 720p HD video recording. The phone is just 11.2mm thick. There is over 2GB of inbuilt memory in addition to a microSD Card slot

Review : What I like about the Nokia X6?

I’ve been spending some Time with the Nokia X6 recently, in Fact a lot of Time. I got ahold of the X6 thanks to Nokia Austria and was rather skeptic, as it seems to be a rather plasticky Device, but then again, it has Capacitive.. capacitive.. *drool*. First, I didn’t expect much, as the N97mini was the Device I was aiming for, but to spoil some of the Conclusion, I spent more Time with the X6, than the N97mini. Why?

MeeGo v1.0 for Netbooks is out , coming to handhelds soon

Finally Meego has released the version 1.0 of the software platform for Netbooks . And they have hinted at June release for Handhelds. MeeGo 1.1 handset UI development will start in June . The MeeGo Netbook User experience release will be followed by a early developer release for handhelds and tablets. The MeeGo image is available for download from the MeeGo site and it would run on Intel Atom based Netbooks.MeeGo v1.1 will be released in October and it will include support for touch-based devices such as Handsets, Tablets, and In-Vehicle Infotainment systems. So it should be end of the year by the time we see MeeGo powered phones

And this is a developer release , so if you are faint hearted , do stay away !

Video : BlackBerry Bold 9800 running BB OS 6

Blackberry OS seriously needs a revival and looks like RIM is working on making BB 6.0 pretty interesting. A video which shows the rumored BB 9800 Slider running the latest OS has been posted on Youtube  and looks like the phone is using a capacitive screen. Although the new UI looks pepped up , it still has the Blackberry roots. We also see a Cover flow for the Music player.
