Samsung Apps clocks 100 Million Downloads in just 10 months

Samsung just announced that it’s Mobile and TV application store Samsung Apps has crossed 100 Million downloads since it’s launch in June 2010. The app store now boasts of 13,000 apps and is available in 120 countries.France, Germany and Spain accounted for 40% of all downloads from the app store.

Rumor: Motorola to reduce Xoom shipments gradually – Xoom 2 expected?

Motorola is expected to ship 700,000-800,000 units of their first Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet Xoom in the first quarter of 2011. With total shipment of 200,000 units in the month of February, which should reach 400,000-500,000 at the end of month of march, their forecast looks good according to upstream suppliers.

Google Nexus S India Launch April 1st Week for Rs.27999?

Online retailer FlipKart has started taking Pre-orders for the Google Nexus S made by Samsung. The asking price for the device is Rs.27999 which is higher than the current price of the Galaxy S i9000.The Nexus S is currently the only Android phone in the market that comes with stock Gingerbread (Android 2.3) . Very few devices have seriously impressed me in terms of build quality these past years. As mobile phones got larger and more sophisticated, many manufacturers moved to cheaper materials to balance the cost of the phone, and many other manufacturers simply failed to make a solid phone because of the bigger touchscreens that introduced more fragility to designs.
