
Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City would be available for select new generation iOS and Android devices on December 6th for $4.99. They are celebrating 10th anniversary of their popular game by launching it on iOS and Android. The game would include several enhancements unique to Android and iOS devices similar to the GTA III including native high-resolution graphics, custom controls and more. Apple Beginning to Catch Up on iPhone 5 Demand in U.S.
AppleInsider reports that Apple has nearly caught up with demand for the iPhone 5 in the US. Gene Munster and his team at Piper Jaffray checked of 100 retail Apple Stores. They found that supply of AT&T and Verizon models has significantly improved, while Sprint models remain available.
“As we get closer to the holiday, we believe consumers will likely have the ability to walk into an Apple Store and walk out with an iPhone 5 within the next two weeks,” Munster said.
In addition, Apple’s own online store shows shipping estimates dropping to 2 weeks for the first time. Previously, iPhone 5 ship dates were 3-4 weeks, improving to 2-3 weeks last week, and now at 2 weeks.
Jolla Mobile shows off Sailfish UI, promises multitasking and effortless interaction
Jolla Mobile, the startup born from the ashes of the MeeGo team at Nokia showed off the UI for their brand new mobile OS today at the Slush conference. While there’s a lot more yet to be revealed, the OS itself is based on the open source Mer core. The interface is heavily inspired by the much praised Harmattan UI on the Nokia N9 and places a lot of emphasis on single handed usage.

Jolla unveils Sailfish OS and SDK, partners with ST-Ericsson and DNA

Jolla Mobile, the Finnish mobile startup has unveiled their new Sailfish OS with effortless and innovative User Interface (UI) at the Slush startup event in Finland as they announced last month. They have also released Sailfish Software Development Kit (SDK) for the developer community and announced that the Jolla devices would be powered by ST-Ericsson’s Nova Thor processor. This version has new User Interface (UI) that is optimized for large screen on tablets. Apple Posts Two New iPhone 5 Television Ads, ‘Orchestra’ and ‘Turkey’
Apple has just released two new iPhone television ads. The ads are called ‘Orchestra‘ and ‘Turkey‘. Orchestra highlights the microphones and noise canceling technology on the iPhone 5. This technology helps reduce background noise during calls. Turkey focuses on the Share Photo Stream feature of iOS 6.

Both the ads are great, but Apple’s ‘Orchestra’ ad is my favorite. Apple does a fantastic job at explaining the concept of noise canceling with this ad. Simply brilliant.

Hands on with Nokia’s HERE Maps for iOS
As promised by Nokia, the Finnish smartphone manufacturer has delivered by publishing its Nokia Maps Here Maps app on the iTunes store. We went hands on with the application to check it out and to find out if it could be a legitimate alternative to the missing Google Maps app on iOS.
Nokia HERE Maps for iPhone and iPad now available for download

Nokia announced last week that they would launch HTML5-based HERE Maps app for Android and iOS. Now the HERE Maps is available for iPhone and iPad users. This uses NAVTEQ mapping data and lets you explore and search places easily. It also offers live traffic view, public transport line, driving directions, voice navigation, option to save maps data for offline use and more.
