Qualcomm has officially announced that the upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices would be powered by their Snapdragon S4 processors. Microsoft announced the Windows Phone 8 yesterday and have partnered with Nokia, Samsung, HTC and Huawei to bring Windows Phone 8-enabled devices starting later this year. Flipboard for iPhone and iPad v1.9.3 update brings Google+ and YouTube support
Fipboard launched their Android app for phones, Kindle fire and Nook tablet just now. They have also updated their iPhone and iPad app to version 1.9.3 that brings Google+ and YouTube support. Flipboard for Android officially launches, gets Google+ and YouTube support
Flipboard for Android is now out of beta testing and is now available from the Google Play Store, Amazon and Barnes & Noble Nook App Store. The Flipboard beta app was launched last month. It also brings support Google+ and YouTube. HTC Desire V Dual SIM Smartphone now available in India for Rs. 21,999
HTC Desire V that was announced earlier this month is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. The HTC Desire V is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) phone with Dual Standby but not Dual Active like the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos. It pack in a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1GHZ single-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense 4.0 UI. Sony has officially announced on their blog they have started rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for Xperia S phones as promised. This update would bring new lock screen with improved functionality, Resizable widgets and more new features. It would also bring new WALKMAN app that replaces Music Player app that also lets you share music and has Facebook integration. The new Album app with new UI would let you view, comment and share photos on Facebook other online albums. HTC has officially launched the One S in India. It was announced the One S at MWC 2012 and it went on sale in India from online retailers earlier this week. It has 4.3-inch (540×960 pixels) AMOLED display, 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, 8MP auto focus camera with flash, 1080p HD video recording and VGA front-facing. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS with HTC Sense 4 UI. New Swype Beta for Android from Nuance version 1.0.3.5809 has got a new interface that has been redesigned from ground up. It also has new features such as Multimodal input with four input modalities on one keyboard such as letter to letter, predictive text input powered by XT9, Swype input and voice input. The new living keyboard feature builds a personal language to lean new words and it also predicts next words. It has Voice and Text Dictionary Sync and Default dictionary editing.

Nokia Lumia devices to get SW update on June 27th, Finally getting WiFi tethering
Nokia had announced its intentions to bring support for features like WiFi tethering to its Lumia series of phones a few months back but we haven’t heard anything about it since then. Now the company has finally gone on record and has announced that the update is expected to roll out on 27th June. We’re still not sure if this is the long rumored Tango update.

Windows Phone app store crosses 100,000 apps
At the Windows Phone Summit, Microsoft informed devs that the app store has crossed 100,000 apps. With the upcoming shared core between Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, we should expect a much more exciting app scene for Windows Phone. Developers are now free to use native code for development making it easier to port apps to Windows Phone.
“Lumia customers can expect thousands more apps to be introduced across Windows Phone platform. The announcements underline the progress Nokia is making with the Lumia family of smartphones and in building a winning ecosystem with Microsoft. Microsoft is making a lot of under-the-hood changes to allow developers access to more features. Case in point, speech recognition will be available for each and every app to use. Easier development means more and better apps which in the end is great for consumers.
