Spice has announced that they plan to launch range of Android Smartphones in the Stellar Series mid-December. The company launched 3 smartphones in the stellar series, Spice Stellar (Mi-425), Stellar Horizon (Mi-500) and Spice Stellar Craze (Mi-355) earlier this year. Spice has also said that these phones would come in very strategic and aggressive price points. So we can expect a tough competition between Spice and other local OEMs like Karbonn and Micromax, since these companies have launched several affordable Android Smartphones recently. Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual with 3.5-inch display, 1GHz processor announced
Sony has announced Xperia E and Xperia E dual, new Android Smartphones in the Xperia series. The Xperia E is the single SIM phone, while the Xperia E dual comes with dual-SIM support. These phones have a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor similar to the Xperia J. Xperia E comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), while the Xperia E dual would launch on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Nokia Lumia 620 unveiled, to be available starting January for $250
Nokia just introduced its latest Windows Phone 8 handset at the Le Web Conference in Paris. Marking the lower end of the Windows Phone 8 range the phone will be offered in seven colors and supports exchangeable shells in gloss and matte finishes depending on the color you chose.

Qualcomm announces new quad-core Snapdragon S4 chips
Qualcomm, the largest SoC maker has announced 2 new quad-core Snapdragon S4 chips. The MSM8226 and MSM8626 are the quad-core versions of MSM8225 and MSM8625 that were announced last December. These new chips would feature Adreno 305 GPU instead of Adreno 203 in the previous version and would offer long battery life for mass market smartphones. These have integrated WTR2605 multi-mode radio transceiver for china-specific bands such as TD-SCDMA, CDMA 1xAdv and HSPA+ that also saves power up to 40 percent compared to previous generations. Foursquare for iPhone has been updated to version 5.3.5 that brings faster check-ins, new check-in screen with map of the location with photo attachment at the top and the check-in button at the bottom. This update also has check-in highlights under the friends’ check-ins and notifications of newly updated places. The previous v5.3.3 update for iPhone brought ratings for places. Zite Personalized Magazine for iPhone and iPad has been update to version 2.0 that add lot of new features including new explore page that has a catalog of over 40,000 topics from 2,500, Facebook integration to get topic suggestions based on your Facebook history, and more. Zite for Android was released earlier this March. Zite has promised an update for the Android and Windows Phone apps in 2013. Facebook has updated their Messenger app for Android to version 2.2.1. Even though this is a minor update to fix some bugs, this update adds new feature that enables new users to sign up using their name and phone number. Google has updated the Gmail app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.0. The new Gmail v2.0 for iOS brings redesigned UI, Multiple account support, search predictions and more new features. Google released the Gmail app for iPhone and iPad last November. Google acquired Sparrow, a popular email app for Mac and iOS earlier this year, but the new Gmail app lacks several features that sparrow had such as universal inbox and gestures. Google Updates YouTube for iOS App
Today, Google has updated the YouTube app for iOS. This update adds native support for the iPad and the iPhone. In addition, the app now supports AirPlay, offers more advanced playlist management, improved voice over support, and more.
Google’s Horia Ciurdar says that more than 25 percent of all YouTube watching happens on mobile. Since the launch of the YouTube app back in September, Ciurdar says Google has “been hard at work to improve the app based on your feedback.”
Now the YouTube app will get ‘enhanced’ AirPlay support, letting you shoot your videos over to your Apple TV. Videos are also said to start faster and play more smoothly. Google has also improved VoiceOver support for those with visual impairments.
YouTube also says that users will find improved performance and faster video loading with this update.

Google has updated Gmail for Android to version 4.2.1 that brings pinch-to-zoom feature for emails and a swipe to archive or delete to quickly delete or archive a mail from you inbox or sent for Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) devices .
