We recently saw Oppo, the company behind awesome hardware like the Find 5, officially confirming that they are indeed working on camera centric devices with the codename “N-Lens” as future flagships. However, contrary to what we had head before, the company is set out to produce cameraphones rather than connected cameras. We believed it was going to be competition with the Galaxy NX or the Galaxy Camera but if the very recently leaked renders are to be believed, Oppo is all set to launch its cameraphones, starting with the N-Lens N1 which has leaked in renders, one of them shown above.

Bing gets a facelift on Windows Phone, adds new design and features

Bing, Microsoft’s answer to Google, is the default search app on Windows Phone with a dedicated key. The service received a substantial upgrade with the Windows Phone 8 update that brought panoramic quick access to relevant stories at that point in time. Otherwise the results have been similar since the inception of the OS and that has finally changed, with the new rollout that has started for the Bing Search app in Windows Phone. The new update brings a new layout and new features based on the Bing Neural network that works similar to the Knowledge graph from Google.

Karbonn A11+ with 4.7 inch display, 1 GHz processor now available for Rs. 5849

Karbonn A11+, a new Android smartphone from Karbonn is now available from online retailer Saholic. The smartphones has a 4.7-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandiwich) OS. It has a 3.2-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with Dual SIM support with dual standby and has 2G (EDGE) connectivity. Xolo has launched the A500S, the company’s new smartphone in the A Series. It has a 4-inch WVGA display, powered by the latest 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 chip that has integrated Wi-Fi, FM, GPS and Bluetooth and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 720p video recording and has a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. The phones has sleek and stylish look that differs from the A500 and the X500 that were launched earlier this year. Xolo Play T1000 Vs Micromax Canvas 4

Xolo was the one of the first companies to launch an Android smartphone powered by Intel processor and now they have launched a gaming smartphone with NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 SoC – Xolo Play T1000. Micromax is one of the leading manufacturers in India right now and its Canvas series is one of the most expected ones in India and they have recently launched their Canvas 4.

Xolo Play and the Micromax Canvas 4 were launched at the starting of July. Coming at almost similar price points, these two devices are more different than similar. Xolo Play is targeted at the gamers looking for a mid-range Android smartphone while the Canvas 4 looks to continue Micromax’s domination of the mid-range smartphone market.

Even though this doesn’t feature any device, their Instagram video clearly shows a large device, as you can see in the image above. Samsung to offer BBM in Samsung App Store on Galaxy devices in Africa

Samsung today announced its plans to offer BBM on its self branded application store that comes pre-installed on its Galaxy range of Android devices. The move will start off first in Africa which is still a heavy user of BBM services. We expect the application to be available on their app store in other territories as well.

HTC Fetch BL A100 Navigation Tag spotted on Clove UK

HTC Fetch has been rumored for a while as an upcoming accessory by the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer. The accessory has now shown up at UK based retailer, Clove’s website alongside a small image that gives us a few clues as to what it might be.

New Nexus 7 2013 Unboxing

The all the new Nexus 7 2013 edition just landed at FoneArena and we thought we will bring you one of the first unboxings from India.The new Nexus 7 is priced at $229 and has gone on sale in the US and is expected to come soon to India but not in the immediate future.Like the previous Nexus 7 , this tablet is also manufactured by Asus for Google and sold by Google directly.The main highlights of the 2013 Nexus 7 are the design including the massive Full HD display and the change from a Nvidia Tegra 3 processor to a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. This Nexus 7 is the first Android device to ship with Android 4.3 JellyBean out of the box which is now also available for several other devices.

Fly has launched the F40+, the company’s latest entry-level smartphones in the F series. The Fly F351 with 3.5-inch display, 1 GHz processor launched last month. This one has a 4-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM with dual standby and has 2G (EDGE) support similar to the F351, however this one has 512MB of RAM and packs a 1400 mAh battery. Samsung has just announced the Samsung Unpacked 2013 Episode 2, where the company is expected to unveil the new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 3. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 at the first Unpacked event on March 14th in New York. Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Vs Huawei Ascend Mate

Huawei was the first company to step into the 6inch + phablet category with Ascend Mate. The Huawei Ascend Mate was announced way back in January during the CES 2013, but the phablet has been available in India only since June. Samsung’s biggest phablet until the Mega series arrived was their Galaxy Note 2 with a 5.5inch display that we compared with the Ascend Mate recently. To expand the phablet portfolio and to compete in the larger phablet race, Samsung launched two new phablets – Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3 .

Obama administration vetoes Apple iPhones/iPads import ban, South Korea concerned

In a turn of events for the Samsung-Apple patent controversy, US president Barack Obama’s administration has vetoed an import and sales ban on some Apple iPhones and iPads, upending a legal upper hand for Samsung. This is reportedly the first time since 1987 that a presidential administration has vetoed a ban by the country’s own International Trade Commission. This has raised a few eyebrows in the far east, in South Korea, where the media criticized the USA for protecting Apple.
