Earlier this year Cleartrip refreshed its Android app with a redesigned user interface, Smart Home page, Split Screen Search, offline support and lots more new features. Within few month Cleartrip has released a version 3.0 update for Android that now lets you book your train tickets directly from the app.  They don’t charge a service fee for booking train tickets, so it’s exactly as the cost you pay while booking it from IRCTC online. Similar to the Cleartrip online train ticket booking, one-time sync is required between your Cleartrip and IRCTC accounts. Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand Duos in India earlier this year. The Galaxy Grand Quattro is the latest mid-range Android smartphone from Samsung that was launched back in May. We reviewed the Galaxy Grand Duos few months back and the Grand Quattro last month. Both these are mid-range smartphone with a similar design, but both these are powered by different chips and have different camera modules. Now let us compare both these phones.

Spice has launched Stellar Virtuoso Pro (Mi-491), the company’s latest smartphone in the Stellar series. It has a 4.5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has Dual SIM support with Dual Standby. The phone comes with  Spice Cloud, Mobile Synchronization Service that would let users automatically and wirelessly store and secure data, provide anti-theft features that protect the user’s content and help them to locate the device. Vodafone introduces free incoming on roaming, plans start from Rs. 5

Vodafone India has launched new Special Tariff Vouchers (STV) for its pre-paid and post-paid customers that would let them enjoy free incoming while on national roaming. Airtel announced a similar roaming pack earlier this week and Idea Cellular launched national roaming packs few days back. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reduced the limit for national roaming tariff for calls and SMS last month that makes free roaming plans for all the operators compulsory. Videocon follows Vodafone, Airtel and Idea, slashes 2G data rates by 90%


Videocon Mobile Services is the latest operator to cut 2G data rates. Videocon has reduced 2G GPRS rates by 90% across Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circles. Last month Vodafone announced reduction of 2G data rates for the Pay as you Go (PAYG) users down to 2p/10KB and Airtel announced reduction of 2G data rates by 90% for pre-paid customers in Punjab and Haryana. Few weeks back Idea Cellular has announced new 2G data rate of 2p/10KB for their prepaid and postpaid customers. Airtel increases stake in Qualcomm’s 4G venture to 51%

LG Optimus G Pro launched in India for Rs. 42500

LG has launched the Optimus G Pro (E988), the company’s flagship smartphone in India. The phone was expected to launch in India last month. It packs a 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS curved glass display, powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm  Snapdragon 600 processor with 400 MHz Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Optimus 3.0 UI. It has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 2.1 MP front-facing camera and packs a 3140 mAh battery. It has lot of camera features including Dual Recording, Virtual Reality (VR) Panorama Smart Video, Smart Camera, Pause and Resume Recording and lots more. HTC One Mini surfaces again in a new set of images

HTC One Mini is not a mystery any more. The specs of the phone surfaced first in February earlier this year. The press render of the phone appeared back in May along with the rumored specs. . It was caught on camera last month that showed the chin and the bottom part of the device, and whole front part of the device was revealed last month. Now the full hands-on images of the device has appeared on a Bulgarian website smartnews.bg that also confirms the specs of the device. Well known source of pre release information, Evleaks, has struck gold once again with a leaked press render of the Nokia Lumia 1020 heading to AT&T. The image suggests a subtle enhancement to the design formula pioneered by the Lumia 920. Ahead of the official announcement, we’re finally getting some concrete details about Motorola’s first handset designed while under Google’s ownership. The handset that will be completely assembled in the US is being called “the first smartphone you can design yourself.” New details have emerged regarding the level of customization that will be offered to buyers of Motorola’s new handset. It will be possible for buyers to select a cover for the back panel and also a trim color. Additionally, Motorola will offer a phone engraving service that will let users place a custom message on the backpanel of the phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to ship with 3GB RAM says Korea Economic Daily

It is no secret that Samsung will have a next generation Note out later this year. The Galaxy Note 3 as it will most likely be known is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor. The phone will also be amongst the first to pack 3GB of RAM if a report published in the Korea Economic Daily is to be believed. Other rumored specifications for the phone range from the obvious to rather outlandish. While it is almost certain that the handset will run on Android 4.3, we’re not too sure that it will pack a flexible display. BlackBerry OS 10.2 with WiFi Direct, actionable notifications gets leaked

BlackBerry’s upcoming OS 10.2 (build 10.2.0.483) just got revealed over at the CrackBerry forums where a user has posted screenshots from the upcoming update. The screenshots reveal a bunch of new features the most prominent of them being actionable notifications and WiFi Direct. Actionable notifications will allow users to pull down notifications and interact with them directly without having to jump into the application.
