Huawei Ascend Y300 that was announced earlier this year at the MWC 2013 is now on pre-order in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei Emotion 1.0 UI. It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. This is the successor of the Ascend Y200 that was launched last year. Huawei launched the Ascend Y210D with dual SIM support earlier this year. The Huawei Ascend G510 is also on pre-order along with the Y300. Huawei Ascend G510 that was announced at MWC 2013 earlier year is now available for pre-order from online retailer Flipkart in India. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei Emotion UI. It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. It has Huawei’s proprietary technology that enables boot in 5 seconds and has  DTS Audio support. This mid-range phone lies between the Huawei Ascend G600 and the Ascend G330 that were launched earlier this year. Videocon VT75C, the company’s latest Android tablet with 2G and voice calling support is now available from Infibeam. It has a 7-inch ( 800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) . It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It has 2G voice calling support and data connectivity via SIM card slot, 3G support via USB dongle and packs a 3000 mAh battery. Most of the features in this tablet are similar to the Penta T-Pad WS707C that was launched in February. Samsung Galaxy S Advance sees a huge price drop, now available for Rs. 14500

Samsung Galaxy S Advance has got a huge price cut in India, and is available for Rs. 14,500. It was announced in January last year, and launched in India last April at a price tag of Rs. 26,900 (MRP) running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It was selling at Rs. 17,500 earlier this month. Samsung announced the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the device last year, which rolled out starting from Russia earlier this year. BlackBerry 2013 roadmap leaked , BlackBerry 10 Tablet and Phablet may be in the works

Looks like there is a new BlackBery 10 leak on the inter webs. The BlackBerry Z10 was the first BlackBerry 10 device to be launched along with the Q10  and it was leaked a lot before the official reveal on January 30th. Now some presentation slides have emerged which show a B10 L which might the first BlackBerry 10 tablet. Also we see a U10 which looks like a Phablet/Large screen device. Micromax Canvas HD now in stores, with fresh packaging, costs more

Micromax has been in a lot of news recently from unexpected demand for its Canvas Android phones to its legal tussle with Ericsson over patent infringement for over 100 crores .  The company increased the price of Canvas HD A116 to Rs.14499 from Rs.13990 due to increase in customs duty. Now the stocks of the Canvas HD are finally hitting retail stores and we could find it at few retail shops in Chennai. The retail packaging has got a fresh new look.

Google Nexus 7 orders already being delivered in India

When the Google Nexus 7 tablet went on sale last week , Google indicated that it would ship the orders by April 5th.  But looks like the company decided to ship them out earlier than expected. A few readers have already mailed us that they have already received Fedex tracking numbers for the shipment and 1 reader actually got the device delivered at his home as you can see from the photo below. Micromax A116 Canvas HD Benchmarks

Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD back in January, started selling the device through online retailer Snapdeal starting from February 14th. It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. This was the first phone to launch in India with the quad-core MediaTek processor. We reviewed the device last month, but we didn’t share complete benchmarks of the device back then. Here are the benchmark comparison with the other mid-range Android smartphones in the market .

HTC One UltraPixel camera samples and full HD video sample

The HTC One that we recently unboxed was really hyped up by HTC for one special feature, the camera. Bucking the trend, HTC went for a different approach by not counting on the megapixels. With just a 4 MP sensor, touting the pixels as an “Ultrapixel”, HTC sought out better image quality coupled with Optical Image Stabilization for better low light performance instead of the never ending megapixel race. Not only that, they also have a new video and still image experience in terms of software with HTC Zoe, capturing all the important memories in a sequential manner, without having to worry about missing a moment. HTC Radar Windows Phone 7.8 update India

HTC has finally started rolling out Windows Phone 7.8 update (v7.10.8862.144) for the HTC Radar in India. It started rolling out back in January in some countries. Nokia started rolling out the Windows Phone 7.8 update for their WP 7.5 devices back in January. The HTC Radar was launched in India in October 2011, and got a price cut in August. This update brings several new features including resizable live tiles, bing lockscreen wallpaper, 20 color accents and lots more. This doesn’t have the Bluetooth file transfer feature that was available in Nokia Lumia devices.

Zinio to launch on Windows Phone as a Lumia exclusive

Zinio, the popular magazine reading application, has announced its intentions to launch on the Windows Phone 8 platform. The company declared that the application will be made available exclusively to Nokia’s Lumia range of Windows Phone handsets at launch.

Asus Padfone Infinity gets priced in Taiwan, available in April

Asus announced the Padfone Infinity last month at the MWC 2013. It was launched in Taiwan earlier this week as we told you, and all the four major carriers have started taking pre-orders for the device in Taiwan. The Padfone Infinity packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display and the Padfone station has a 10.1-inch (1920×1080 pixels) display. It is powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
