China Telecom almost confirms iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C release

For the first time, Apple is hosting two events for the launch of their premium iPhone. The first event is scheduled on September 10th at Apple’s HQ in Cupertino and the second event is planned for Sept 11 in China. According to the rumor-mill, it is believed that Apple will be launching two iPhones this time – iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

How Samsung Became the Only Company with Two Successful Flagship Smartphones

The IFA event at Berlin, one of the increasingly important consumer electronic trade shows, just started, but tons of devices have already been launched. Amongst them, standing out from the crowd, is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, unveiled with much excitement and fervor, as leaks failed to provide proper information before launch. The Note 3 is the third iteration of the very popular Note series of devices Samsung made popular. The range, infamously held responsible for creating the phablet phenomenon, also created a paradigm shift in the company, for its portfolio.

Evernote 5.3 for Android brings Document Markup, Announcements and more

Evernote for Android 5.3 Markups

Evernote has updated the Android application to version 5.3 that brings Document Markup that lets you overlay text, shapes, arrows, stamps, and more on top of images. This feature is similar to the Evernote Skitch. Premium users can now add annotations to any page of the PDF. This feature is available as a trail for limited time.  Now you can tap the bugle icon at the top of the homescreen to find Announcements that details product update information, tips about features and inspiring user stories.

Facebook for Android 3.7 Beta

Facebook has updated the Android Beta app to version 3.7 that brings lot of new features including the most need, post and comment editing features, icons with action status update and more. The  new action and icon status updates yet was released for iPhone and iPad in the version 6.2 update back in June. Facebook started the Beta program back in June. Both the 3.5 and 3.6 Betas brought only bug fixes and improvements. Intex Aqua HD with 4.7-inch HD display, quad-core processor now available for Rs. 14999


Intex launched the Aqua i7, the company’s flagship Android smartphone earlier this week, Aqua HD  appeared on the official website on the same day. The phone is now available from online retailer Infibeam in India. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Google Drive 2.0 for iPhone and iPad

Google has updated the Drive app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.0 that brings a lot of features including a new design with new grid view, previews and lotes more. Google Drive for Android got these features back in May. You can also switch between the new thumbnail view and the traditional list view, copy the link for any Drive file to share it easily, new details page makes moving the file a Drive folders and  sharing easy. Earlier this year Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 and then, to compete against the waterproof Sony Xperia Z, they introduced the Galaxy S4 Active. The S4 Active is a durable version of the Galaxy S4, with a thicker design and IP67 dust and water resistance. Traditionally durable smartphones have come with less-than-stellar specs lists but the Galaxy S4 Active aims to buck this trend.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311

Today we have the new Google Nexus 7 (2013) against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311. The new Nexus 7 was launched in July and is yet to be available in India while the Galaxy Tab 3 was launched in July and has been available since then in India.

The Nexus 7 comes with an upgraded processor, much better display and a rear camera which was absent in its predecessor while the Galaxy Tab 3 has Samsung’s Exynos SoC.

Fighter Lukkha action game launched for feature phones

Disney UTV’s Indiagames has launched Fighter Lukkha, an action game themed around a typical Mumbai gang war. The game is set in the chawls of Mumbai with Lukkha as the main protagonist who takes on his archenemy Todfod. Users start playing as Lukkha and together with his gang members fights against Todfod. They can choose from equipment like knives, short ranged pistols and much more besides their bare hands for their fight. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311 vs Apple iPad Mini

Samsung’s dominance in the smartphone market is well-known, but the South Korean electronics giant is yet to stamp its authority on the Tablet market. Apple was the company that brought back tablets to life with their original iPad.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311 was launched in July  while the iPad Mini was launched way back last year. The iPad Mini is almost at the end of its product cycle while the Tab 3 is quite fresh.

Lenovo has announced the S5000, a new tablet in the S series. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) wide-viewing angle display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Media Tek 8389 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 246 grams.  It has rear speakers and packs a 3450 mAh battery that offers up to 8 hours of  continuous WiFi browsing. Lenovo Vibe X announced, 5-inch 1080p display in a 6.9mm thin and 121g light body

Lenovo has announced the Vibe X, the company’s latest smartphone at the IFA 2013. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS “20/20 Vision” display at 440 PPI  for sharp images with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 88 degree wide angle lens. There is also a photo application to view and organize images, option to create puzzles and customize specific games from the photos, choose custom settings and filters and instant photo and video sharing.
