POCO has introduced the M8s 5G, a new smartphone aimed at users seeking extended battery life and large screen real estate. The device is built around high-capacity power management and everyday performance, offering hardware and software integrations that include Google’s latest AI features and have similar specifications to the POCO M7 Plus 5G.
Display and Design
The smartphone features a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It includes Wet Touch Technology 2.0 to maintain touch accuracy when the screen or the user’s hands are wet. Additionally, the display has received triple TÜV Rheinland certifications for eye care, intended to reduce strain during extended use.
Physically, the device has a quad-curved back design with a metal-crafted camera housing. It is IP64-rated for dust and water resistance and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

- Emergency Power: At 1% battery, the device can reportedly support up to 59 minutes of call time or 7.5 hours of standby.
- Charging: It supports 33W fast charging, 18W reverse charging, and utilizes POCO’s Smart Charging Engine 2.0 to optimize battery health.
