Xolo BLACK with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 4G LTE launched for Rs. 12999

Xolo just launched its first smartphone under BLACK sub-brand. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 2nd-gen Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HIVE Atlas UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for depth mapping that lets you click the image first and adjust the focus later. Xolo is calling this UbiFocus. It can focus in 0.15 seconds and the ChromaFlash lets you retain original color and skin tone even in low-lighting conditions, says the company. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash.

Huawei-made Nexus smartphone reportedly launching this fall

Huawei’s first Nexus smartphone will launch this fall or sometime between late September and December of 2015, according to a report from The Information (Via). An earlier report from Android Police earlier this year said that there will be two Nexus smartphones this year, including one from Huawei. Xiaomi ‘Libra’ with Snapdragon 808, Android 5.1 surfaces in benchmarks

A new smartphone from Xiaomi codenamed Libra has surfaced on Geekbench. This reveals it will be powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 SoC (MSM8992) clocked at 1.44GHz and run on Android 5.1.1-based MI UI. It also reveals 2GB RAM, so this might not be a high-end smartphone, and might not be the flagship Mi 5 as rumored earlier. Meerkat updated with new cameo feature for viewers

Meerkat 1.5 for iPhone

Meerkat for iOS has been updated to version 1.5 that adds new cameo mode that lets your viewers to take over your stream for 60 seconds. You can tap a viewer’s profile or comment “Cameo @username” to invite someone for a cameo. Both can end the cameo at any time. This update also makes use of Facebook API so that you can connect your Facebook account to Meerkat to receive alerts when one of your friends or pages you follow join.
