Foxconn has offered a whopping $5.1 billion (600 billion yen) to acquire Japanese electronics maker Sharp Corp, according to a new report from Bloomberg. Sharp is expected to respond to the popular contract manufacturer’s offer by the end of this month.

Samsung has launched its new Gear VR Powered by Oculus at an event in India, as expected. It is compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones, is 22% lighter than previous Gear VR Innovator Edition and has an improved touchpad that provides easier control to access films, gaming, 360 degree video and experiential content available for Gear VR. Teewe creator CREO (formerly Mango Man) today announced that it has secured $3 million (Rs. 20.4 crores approximately) funding from Sequoia Capital, Beenext Ventures and India Quotient. It said that it will be creating Android-based operating system and a smartphone that will be launched later this year. It launched its second generation Teewe 2 media streaming stick last year.
