YouTube for Android gets offline mode in India

YouTube Offline mode

Back in September at the Android One event Google announced that YouTube will get offline playback in India. Now the feature is available for YouTube for Android in India. This lets you add videos to watch it offline by selecting an icon below the video or by selecting Add to Offline from a video’s context menu. Once added, an available offline icon will be displayed below the video. There is a separate playlist called Offline, to view all the videos that are saved offline. BT set to choose O2 over EE

BT looks set to push ahead with a deal to purchase O2 after opting for the network over bigger rival EE. According to a report published by This Is Money, the O2 deal will cost BT a little less than acquiring EE but despite the latter having 3 million more customers, a potential acquisition would have faced significant regulatory hurdles. Toshiba has launched Toshiba WT8, the company’s latest Windows 8.1 tablet in India. It was originally announced as Encore 2 back in May and packs a 8-inch WXGA display, is powered by a 1.33 quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor, has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a 1-Year free Office 365 Subscription. Toshiba has partnered with Amazon.in to sell the tablet.

Vivo just announced the Vivo X5Max at an event in China, as expected. The Vivo X5Max becomes the world’s slimmest smartphone with 4.75mm thickness, slimmer than the 4.85mm Oppo R5 smartphone that was announced in October. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with 3.98mm narrow bezels, powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Funtouch OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Apple releases iOS 8.1.2 with bug fixes and iTunes ringtone issues

Apple has released iOS 8.1.2 as an over-the-air software update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users running iOS 8. The latest update brings bug fixes and a fix for an issue where ringtones purchased through the iTunes Store were removed.
