In the latter half of 2015, Samsung seeded an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for both the Galaxy Note5 as well as the Galaxy Note 4. Lenovo has started teasing the launch of its high-end Vibe X3 smartphone in India, which is scheduled for January 27th. It was announced back in November last year along with the Vibe X3 Lite, packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 21-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) to focus quickly, dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, 4K video recording and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Back in October soon after the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile were introduced, Microsoft said that Windows 10 update will be rolling out for existing Windows Phone 8.1 devices in December. Reliance Communications has posted a 14.9 per cent fall in consolidated net profit of ₹171 crore for the Q3 ending December 31. The net profits saw a drop mainly due to loss of 2G mobile service licences in five circles – West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Odisha and the north-east service areas in 2015.
