Huawei, along with the honor V8 smartphone introduced its latest Honor Band A1 fitness tracker. In addition to accurate fitness tracking such as exercise time, distance walked or run, steps taken and calories burnt, it also has advanced sleep tracking that can track even small naps and calculate the quality of sleep such as deep sleep. It also has silent vibration alarm and alerts you for incoming calls when connected to Android or iOS devices. Xiaomi iHealth 2 Blood Pressure monitor announced, Mi Band 2 teased again by CEO

Xiaomi has announced iHealth 2, a new Blood Pressure monitor and the successor of the first iHealth device that was introduced back in 2014. It has a 4.3-inch color screen, uses WiFi Direct to connect to Android devices, automatically detects high and low blood pressure and also has voice broadcast that automatically reads out the results. Huawei has announced Honor V8, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the honor series. It packs a 5.7-inch Full HD or a Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 950 / 955 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1 on top. The main highlight of the smartphone are the dual 12-megapixel rear cameras with laser auto focus and 1.76-micron pixel size promising brilliant image quality in low-light conditions. As part of the Galaxy J series of phones, Samsung introduced two new devices at an event in Delhi. While the Samsung Galaxy J5 marks the lower end of the spectrum, the Galaxy J7 is the larger of the two. Like the J5, the J7 too focusses on premium build quality and design. Global PC shipments hit 101 million units, drops 13% in Q1 2016: Canalys

The device combines the high end design that takes cues from the A series with performance that is well, more befitting the price point. Qihoo 360 (QiKU) has introduced N4, the company’s latest smartphone at an event in China. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by a Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek Helio X20 processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with 360 OS. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF for quick focus in 0.1 seconds and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Made in India smartphones contribute for 67% of total shipment in Q1 2016: CMR

India shipped a total of 52.6 million handsets in Q1 CY 2016, against 55.4 million in 1Q CY 2015, registering a decline of 4% YoY, according to CMR’s India Mobile Handset Report. The QoQ decline was 12.8%.

The company didn’t have a consumer ready Canvas 6 back then and so we couldn’t get our hands on the device. Google RailWire free Wi-Fi service expands to 5 more railway stations in India

Google has launched RailWire free WiFi service across five more railway stations in India. The service under which Indian Railways, RailTel and Google provide free WiFi to passengers has now expanded to  Ujjain, Jaipur, Patna, Guwahati and Allahabad railway stations.
