OnePlus is all set to introduce its new flagship OnePlus 5 smartphone on June 20th. Today, the first press render of the smartphone has surfaced, thanks to Android Police. This shows the top half of the smartphone in Black color, with dual rear cameras, LED flash and a secondary microphone. It has a 2.5D curved glass screen and a large front camera sensor. OnePlus today announced that it will introduce its flagship OnePlus 5 smartphone at an event on June 20th. The invite shows an image of the sea along with a small square that zooms on a part of it and a caption Focus on What Matters that clearly hits at dual rear cameras for the smartphone offering background blur. OnePlus  has teamed up with DxO, a photography benchmark to enhance the camera on the OnePlus 5.

Both the new J5 and J7 smartphones have 13-megapixel front and rear cameras, 4G LTE support with VoLTE, run Android 7.0 (Nougat) and also come with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. These are 7.9mm thick and have unibody metal design with new antenna design.

Android Nougat adoption nears 10%, 7.1 Nougat is on just 0.6% of devices

Google has released Android distribution numbers for the month of June. Android Nougat adoption is increasing and is inching closer to 10%. The latest Android OS is now present on 9.5% of all Android devices of which Android Nougat 7.0 takes 8.9% share while Android 7.1 is owns just 0.6% even after seven months.

Huawei’s Honor brand has scheduled an event on June 12 to unveil its new top-end smartphone – Honor 9. It will come with dual rear cameras and a glass back, similar to the Honor 8. It got certified in TENAA recently that confirmed the specifications of the phone that includes a 5.15-inch 1080p display, Kirin 960 SoC, 4GB or 6GB RAM options, Android 7.0 (Nougat), 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel dual rear cameras and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
