Samsung reports record profits in Q3 2017, up 179% YoY; announces new leadership line-up

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q3 2017, in which the company has made operating profit of 14.53 trillion won ($13 billion), up 179.4% YoY for the quarter that ended September 30, 2017, as expected. This is a new all-time high quarterly profit, due to strong demand for high-performance memory chipsets for servers and flagship mobile devices. HMD Global just announced Nokia 2, the company’s latest budget smartphone at an event in India. It has a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and packs a 4100mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life on a single charge. YouTube TV app launched for Android TVs, Xbox One, Apple TV and more

OnePlus 5T with full-screen display surfaces in first press render

OnePlus 5T renders surfaced in China earlier this month. Now the first clear press render has surfaced, thanks to @evleaks aka Evan Blass. The image reveals only the top part of the phone at an angle that shows minimal bezels on the top along with a large camera sensor, a SIM slot and a power button on the right side. Reliance Jio might stop JioPhone production to launch Android smartphone soon

Reliance Jio’s VoLTE feature phone – JioPhone which was launched back in July went on sale in India in August. The JioPhone is powered by KaiOS, and now the production of the JioPhone has been kept on hold, according to a new report.
