Xiaomi is all set to introduce the Mi 11 Pro / Ultra phones and the Mi 11 Lite later today. We already have the specifications of the Mi 11 Ultra and the Mi 11 Lite, now the company has confirmed that it will introduce the Mi 11i, which will be the global version of the Redmi K40 Pro+ that was introduced in China last month. Xiaomi already confirmed the announcement of new Mi 11 series smartphones including Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Lite as well as new Mi MIX models on March 29th. Now it has confirmed that it will introduce the Mi Smart Band 6, successor to last year’s Mi Band 5 at the event. The design looks like the predecessor, but the teaser image reveals that the body is larger, and the curvature of the screen edge will be more obvious. Xiaomi has reported its earning for the fourth quarter (Q4 2020) and the whole financial year of 2020 that ended December 31, 2020. It reported revenue of 245.9 billion yuan (US$ 37.57 billion) for FY 2020, an increase of 19.4% compared to FY 2019. Revenue from overseas markets increased 34.1% year-over-year to 122.4 billion yuan, accounting for 49.8% of total revenue. Net profit for year 2020 was approximately 13.478 billion yuan. Qualcomm has announced Snapdragon 780G 5G Mobile Platform, sucessor to Snapdragon 765G / 768G. It is based on 5nm process technology, same as the Snapdragon 888. The new Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU with new architecture delivers up to 40% performance uplift, said the company. It has Qualcomm Spectra 570 triple ISP and 6th generation Qualcomm AI Engine with the Qualcomm Hexagon 770 processor delivering up to 12 TOPs AI performance, which is a 2x improvement compared to its predecessor.
