Moto G100 with 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Snapdragon 870 5G, 16MP + 8MP dual front cameras, 5000mAh battery announced

Motorola announced Moto G100, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone, as expected. It is the  global version of the Motorola edge s that was introduced in China earlier this year. It packs a 6.7-inch 21:9 aspect ratito Full HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel 100° ultra-wide front cameras inside the punch hole. The phone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 870 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM for global markets and up to 12GB RAM in Brazil, 5G SA/NSA support with Snapdragon X55 Modem and runs Android 11. Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite with 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 780G 5G 5nm SoC surfaces ahead of March 29 announcement

Xiaomi is all set to introduce the Mi 11 Pro and Ultra phones on March 29th. Earlier rumour revealed that Mi 11 Lite will also join them. Specifications and the rear design of the phone surfaced, and it said that the phone will be 6mm slim and weigh 150 grams. Now more renders of the phone have surfaced. The phone is said to come with Snapdragon 732G SoC for the 4G version as rumoured earlier, and there will also be a 5G version with upcoming Snapdragon 780G SoC with built-in Snapdragon X53 modem. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G version with Snapdragon 865 launching in India next week

Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE smartphone in India back in October last year, but it was a 4G version powered by Exynos 990. Now the company is all set to launch the 5G version of the smartphone in India which will be powered by  Snapdragon 865 SoC. India anti-trust watchdog announces investigation into WhatsApp’s updated privacy policy

WhatsApp’s troubles with India over its updated privacy policies is continuing as the Competition Commission of India (CCI), an anti-trust watchdog has announced a new probe into the Facebook-owned messaging service. The probe is aimed at investigating WhatsApp’s new privacy policy for its violating competition laws, before it goes live in May 2021.

Samsung introduces 512GB DDR5 module with HKMG process technology

Samsung Electronics, one of the world’s largest manufacturer of memory chips, has announced the launch of their 512GB DDR5 module that is based on High-K Metal Gate (HKMG) process technology. It boasts twice the speed of performance of DDR4 at up to 7200 Mbps, and is designed for high-bandwidth applications such as supercomputing, artificial intelligence, etc.

Vivo just launched its X60 and X60 Pro smartphones in the new X60 series in India, as it had announced. These phones pack a 6.56-inch FHD+ HDR10+ E3 AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and a 32MP camera inside the punch-hole, but the X60 Pro has a curved screen. The phones are powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC with support for 5G SA / NSA, feature extended RAM technology, so 8GB RAM can effectively have 11GB RAM, which is 3GB more, said the company. OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro OxygenOS 11 Android 11 update starts rolling out [Update: OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro as well]

Update: OnePlus has also released OxygenOS 11 for the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 smartphones, and the changelog is the same.

After months of delays, OnePlus has finally started rolling out Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro smartphones. OxygenOS 11 beta had always on display feature, but the stable version doesn’t have it, but it might come in another update in the future. Some users are also reporting camera issues with the update, so it is not clear if the company will push another update to fix it.
