Apple iPhone SE 2020, iPhone XR and iPhone 11 get a price cut in India

Apple introduced iPhone 12 series in an online event few hours back. At the event it also announced price cuts for iPhone 11, iPhone XR and iPhone SE 2020, and Apple India has also reduced the price of the models in India. The iPhone 11 and iPhone XR got a price hike after GST hike back in April. This is the first official price cut on MRP for the iPhone SE 2020 since the launch earlier this year, even though it was offered at cheaper rates with bank offers earlier this year. Apple iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max with OLED Super Retina XDR display, LiDAR Scanner, 5G announced; India price starts at Rs. 1,19,900

At its special event Apple announced the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max successor of last year’s iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max models, both with support for 5G. These come with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED Super Retina XDR displays, respectively and have support for HDR and Dolby Vision. These come with new Ceramic Shield protection with 4x better drop performance, thanks to a new high temperature crystallisation step that grows nano-ceramic crystals within the glass matrix. The phones are powered by A14 Bionic 5nm Chip with 11.8 billion transistors and a 6-core design and feature IP68 water resistance (6 meters for up to 30 minutes). The phones have Textured matt glass back and stainless steel body. OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei reportedly departs from company; starting new venture

Carl Pei and Pete Lau together began OnePlus in December 2013 and the company has since grown to become one of the leading companies in the smartphone industry. However, it looks like Carl Pei will no longer be part of OnePlus’s future as it has been reported that he has left the company to start his own venture.

OPPO F17 Pro Review

In recent times, OPPO’s F series of smartphones have done quite well in the mid-range market segment in India. At the top end of the F series, OPPO recently announced the F17 Pro, a smartphone with a total of 6 cameras in a very sleek, beautifully designed body. The smartphone is also one of the first few devices to receive OPPO’s latest ColorOS 11, which is based on Android 11.
