JioPhone Next ultra-affordable Android smartphone developed in partnership with Google announced


Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries at the company’s 44th annual general meeting (AGM), Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone Next 4G phone developed in partnership with Google. He said that it will ultra-affordable and will pack cutting-edge features. He added that it is a fully featured smartphone, supporting the entire suite of applications from both Google and Jio.

Jio has confirmed voice assistant support, automatic read-aloud of text and more features. Google said that the teams have optimized a version of Android OS especially for this device, and it will offer language and translation features, a great camera with HDR, Indian-specific Snapchat Lenses directly accessible from the camera, and support for the latest Android updates.

“It is built for India, and it will open up new possibilities for millions of new users who will experience the internet for the very first time,” said Google.

The JioPhone Next will be available in market from Ganesh Chaturthi, 10th September. We should know more details about the phone in the coming weeks.
