Redmi Note 11 series with 120Hz AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, JBL dual speakers to be announced on October 28


October 22, 2021: Redmi today confirmed that the Note 11 series will feature an AMOLED screen with 1.75mm ultra-narrow side bezels and a 2.96mm small punch-hole, same as the Redmi Note 10 Pro that was launched in India last year. It will feature a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The Note 10 Pro has a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

It will support DCI-P3 wide color gamut, 360° ambient light sensor built in, so that the screen can intelligently adjust brightness — even in backlit conditions and Eye protection display that will reduce blue light emission. The company also confirmed AG glass back cover with a matte finish.

October 20, 2021: Xiaomi’s Redmi brand today confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi Note 11 series, which will include the Redmi Note 11 and Note 11 Pro, in China on October 28th. The teaser image shows a straight frame with a matte finish. It also shows the 3.5mm audio jack, IR sensor, secondary speaker vent and the Sound by JBL branding.

The phone will come with triple rear cameras, and the text says Matrix camera. Another image confirms a punch-hole display and a slightly curved screen. It will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the power button.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G was launched back in May in China packing a 6.6-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen, Dimensity 1100 SoC and a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Even the Note 11 Pro is expected to come with a 67W charger, but other details are not available yet.

Redmi will start pre-sale of the phone later today, even before the launch. This will continue till the October 31st, and the phone is expected to go on sale in China from November 1st. Since we have one week for the launch event, we can expect the company to reveal details about the phone in the coming days.
