I just got my hands on the shiny new Nokia Lumia 1020 with some brilliant camera features. The camera is a 41 Megapixel Pureview camera with Carl Zeiss optics. We have an exclusive unboxing of the just announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom camera phone first on FoneArena which was showcased at an event in London last month where we got a hands on this super-sized camera phone.The S4 Zoom is basically a Galaxy S4 mini with a zoom lens attached to it on the back. It looks like a phone from the front but the moment you get a glimpse of that 10x zoom lens on the back, you just can’t continue to think of the Galaxy S4 zoom as a phone, it feels more like a mini version of the Galaxy Camera which was launched last year.The main difference between the two is that the S4 Zoom can make phone calls while the Galaxy Camera can’t. We are here in San Francisco on invitation from Qualcomm to benchmark their Snapdragon 800 processor (MSM8974) which features a 28nm HPm quad core Krait 400 CPU capable of running at 2.3 GHz per core and the new Adreno 330 GPU. It is expected to be the fastest mobile processor in the market and even beat the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa and Qualcomm’s own Snapdragon 600 processor in terms of benchmarks and performance. Nokia has sent out invites to some media outlets inlcuding Pocket-Lint for an event in New York on July 11th with the tagline “Zoom Reinvented”. It is almost certain from the invite that Nokia will launch a camera centric phone. Nokia has already said that it is bringing the Lumia 925 to the US on T-Mobile during the London launch event so it is certainly not got anything to do with the Lumia 925. Could we finally have the true successor to the PureView 808 in the form of the Nokia device codenamed EOS running Windows Phone ? We have seen some recent leaks of that device.

Asus announced the PadFone infinity which is the 3rd generation PadFone at MWC 2013 earlier this year in Barcelona. Now the handset has gone on sale in some markets such as Asus’s home market Taiwan. As you might be aware I am right now in Taipei for Computex 2013 and managed to get my hands on the Padfone Infinity which is currently on sale here for around 20990 Taiwanese dollars or Rs.40000 approx. Check out the unboxing video below featuring the HTC One and PadFone 2 as well. We managed to only get the phone part of the Padfone , the tablet part or the Padfone Station was not available.

At Computex 2013 here in Taipei , Taiwan , Ford announced that it is bringing Ford SYNC AppLink to the Asia Pacific region.Ford SYNC is a voice controlled in-car entertainment system installed in most Ford cars.AppLink is a new feature which lets users interact with mobile applications using the same voice based Sync platform. Pandora, TuneIn Radio and Kaliki are the first 3 apps which will support AppLink functionality and be available in the Asia Pacific region. The ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 was launched just a while ago, at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan. The 7 inch tablet’s main USP is the price, which at 129$ for the base version is a steal. Coming in vibrant colours, the MeMO Pad has a 7 inch 1280×800 IPS screen with good viewing angles, unlike the ASUS Fonepad. Powered by a MediaTek quadcore MT8125 chip, the MeMO Pad runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean, which is currently the latest version of the popular software. After the event, we were at the presentation area, and we have brought you some photos from there.
ASUS just announced the Fonepad Note FHD6 at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan today. The large device comes with a 6 inch full HD 1080p screen, and with a stylus in tow, this seems to be squarely aimed at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which might sport similar specifications and placement. Running on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, it is powered by an Intel Z2560 chipset with a dual core 1.6 GHz processor and the PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU. Having witnessed the announcement at the event, we went to the demo area to take some photos of the device. While we were not allowed to go hands on with it, we were still able to take some handsome shots of the device, find them past the break.
Samsung has carved out a huge market for its Galaxy range of Android phones. One of the most popular phones in the series was the Galaxy S3, clocking over 40 million units in sales as of January this year. Samsung launched the much hyped and much anticipated upgrade to the S3 in the form of the Galaxy S4 at an event in New York and the India launch took place last week in Delhi as it is one of the key markets for the Korean smartphone maker. There is little doubt that the phone is fully loaded in terms of specs and features, but can Samsung replicate the success of the S3 with the new Galaxy S4? And should you buy one? HTC has finally confirmed the rumors about the HTC One running stock Android. The company just announced on its official blog that a HTC One with Nexus User Experience will be going on sale soon in the US market first. They would continue to sell the developer version and unlocked version directly to users. The HTC One with stock Android will be going on sale on Google’s Play store starting from June 26th but sadly only in the US. The handset has been priced at $599 which is lower than the price of the Galaxy S4 running stock Android which will also be going on sale on the same day for $649.
