Legion, Lenovo’s line of gaming focused products has made a few announcements at CES 2020. These include their thinnest ever Legion Gaming laptop called the Legion 740s, their external GPU enclosure called the Legion Booststation, a 240Hz Legion gaming monitor and bunch other peripherals like keyboards and mice.
Smartphone manufacturers have been improving the voice quality on smartphones through better hardware every time to offer the best voice quality experience to users. In the past, brands like Xiaomi have also experimented with Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic system instead of an earpiece. Although the voice call quality also depends on the network, the quality of the voice calls made through Bluetooth accessories is not there yet. Now, Qualcomm’s new aptX voice codec aims to solve this issue and this comes after the introduction of aptX and aptX HD technologies for music streaming previously.

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 7 Plus smartphone, which makes it the fifth Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1 in October, and Nokia 9 PureView and Nokia 7.1 last month, and Nokia 6.1 Plus yesterday. It was launched in 2018 running Android Oreo, and got the Pie update in September 2018. Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 is all set to kick off starting January 7th, 2020, and OnePlus already announced that it will be unveiling ‘Concept One’ at a special event in CES, but many details weren’t shared then. But now, OnePlus has released an official teaser that reveals a glimpse of what the ‘Concept One’ smartphone looks like along with other key details.
Samsung has announced that it has shipped over it shipped more than 6.7 million Galaxy 5G smartphones globally that includes Galaxy S10 5G, Note10 5G, Note10+ 5G, Galaxy A90 5G and Galaxy Fold 5G. It added that as of November 2019, Samsung accounted for 53.9% of the global 5G smartphone market globally. On similar lines, Vivo also launched its online-exclusive U series, Z series, S series, etc and now giving in to a long-standing demand of offline retailers, Vivo has announced that they will stop launching online-exclusive smartphones starting next year.
A report published by Counterpoint research has shown the iPhone XR to be the top selling phone for Q3 2019, accounting for almost 3.0% of all phones sold worldwide. The XR was took the position as Apple’s most sold ever phone model till date, contributing to over one-quarter of the total Apple sales during the Q3 2019.
LG Electronics is planning to introduce new models of their premium sound bars at CES 2020. Partnering with a company called Meridian Audio, LG promises premium quality audio, easy connectivity, smart functionality and sleek designs that integrate perfectly with LG TVs.
