Indian smartphone shipments declined 16% YoY in Q1 2023: IDC

According to IDC research, 31 million smartphones were shipped in India in 1Q23 (Jan-Mar), a 16% YoY (year-over-year) decline and the lowest first-quarter shipments in four years. Indian smartphone shipments fell 6% YoY in Q3 2022: Canalys

The Canalys research firm has released Indian smartphone shipments report for Q3 2022. According to the research firm, India’s smartphone shipments fell by 6% YoY and were able to ship 44.6 million units. The festival season sale, which began in the last few weeks of the quarter, saved the total shipment percentage, while entry-level device contribution declined this year. Indian smartphone shipments fell 5% QoQ in Q2 2022: Canalys

Canalys, an independent research firm, has published a report on smartphone shipments in the Indian market for the second quarter of 2022. According to the report, shipments were 36.4 million units, a 5% decrease from the first quarter of 2022. The good news is that the YoY (Year-on-Year) growth rate is up by 12%. Analysts believe that YoY increase is due to the second wave that hit us at the same time last year. As expected, Xiaomi led the smartphone market.
