OnePlus 5T Benchmarks – Snapdragon 835 and 8GB RAM

OnePlus launched its flagship OnePlus 5T smartphone in India. We already brought you the unboxing of the phone, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The OnePlus 5T is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 10nm Mobile Platform with that has four custom Kryo 280 Performance cores clocked at 2.46GHz per core and four smaller Efficiency Kryo 280 cores are clocked at 1.90GHz per core and has 710 MHz Adreno 540 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, same as OnePlus 5, but this has a larger 6.01-inch 18:9 Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with Oxygen OS 4.7. Gionee recently introduced M7 and M7 Power smartphones. Now it is all set to introduce the high-end M7 Plus smartphone, which has been certified by TENAA in China that shows the design of the smartphone with a full-screen display, metal frame, leather-like back, dual rear cameras along with a fingerprint sensor. Vivo just launched the V7 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 5.7-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio, narrow bezels and 83.6% screen-to-body ratio, compared to the 5.99-inch FullView display on the V7+. It has the same 24-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, Face Beauty 7.0, Face unlock and Portrait mode and a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and LED flash. MIUI 9 will be the last update for these phones

At the MIUI 9 Global launch, Xiaomi highlighted the fact that even 5-year-old phones including Mi 2/2S are still getting weekly MIUI updates and will also get MIUI 9 Global Stable update. Now, within a couple of weeks, Xiaomi made an announcement on MIUI Forum saying that MIUI updates will be suspended for few of Xiaomi devices after the MIUI 9 update. Today it has finally started rolling out Android Oreo update for the smartphones for all in the form of OxygenOS 5.0 update. Intel has announced new 5G new radio (5G NR) multi-mode commercial modems along with Intel XMM 7660 modem. It has also announced that it has successfully completed a full end-to-end 5G call based on its early 5G silicon, the Intel 5G Modem and also said that the XMM 7560 modem that was unveiled at MWC earlier this year has achieved gigabit-class speeds. Apple HomePod release pushed to early 2018

Apple introduced its first Siri-powered smart speaker HomePod at WWDC 2017 back in June for $349. At that time the company said that it will ship the device starting in December in Australia, the UK and the US. Now the company has released a statement saying that it will be available only in early 2018 saying that it need “a little more time” before the HomePod is ready, but it did not provide any reason for the delay. In late 2017, when most of the OEMs are releasing schedule for the Oreo update, a lot of budget phones that are launched still run on Android Marshmallow. Xiaomi Redmi 4A was launched back in March 2017 with MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), but Xiaomi didn’t announce anything regarding the Android update for the device till date. Also, Redmi 4A was amongst the few devices which didn’t receive MIUI 9 Global Beta update until this Friday. Yesterday, Xiaomi rolled out MIUI Global Beta 7.11.16 for Redmi 4A, and surprisingly this new update is based on Android Nougat 7.1.2.
