Update: New teaser from Asus, confirms that it’s going launch their smartwatch at IFA. Scribbled writings in the image reveals that it would have a stainless steel frame, polish as mirrors and sexy curves.

Asus has started teasing its upcoming announcement at the IFA 2014, slated for September 3rd. The first teaser shows a device with curved edges along with the quote “Time has been transformed, and we have changed” by Khalil Gibran that hints at its first Android Wear smartwatch. Pebble hires two former webOS designers for future smartwatch design

Pebble has appointed two notable webOS designers Itai Vonshak and Liron Damir that have worked with LG on the interface and design for webOS TV. Itai Vonshak will join Pebble as Head of Product and UX team while Liron Damir will be the Head of Design.

Samsung Gear Live Unboxing

Samsung Gear Live is the company’s first Android Wear smartwatch that has almost similar specifications as its Gear 2 smartwatch that runs on Tizen OS. The Gear Live was announced at the Google I/O in June and it was immediately listed on the Indian Play Store. It went on sale in India last month for Rs. 15,900, but it is currently out of stock. Pebble Steel Unboxing and First Impressions

It’s still very early days for smartwatches but Pebble, the Kickstarter success story, already looks like a veteran. Pebble, the first Smartwatch that ignited the whole market frenzy for wearable devices, has been out for a long time, so long that it already got a facelift through Pebble Steel, mainly for people looking at a premium version of the original. It was exactly that, a premium version of the Pebble, adorned with steel, glass and leather, while the original was fully plastic and silicone. There was also a general shift in design and a better overall finish, with minor changes to the power connector and the addition of a LED at the front. These changes also command a premium, with the price at $249, almost matching the recently launched Android Wear devices. We had finally got one a while back, the stainless steel version, so here’s the unboxing of the Pebble Steel, in case you are looking to get one –
