HTC reportedly working on smartwatch, due early 2015

HTC previously dismissed rumors about its plans on working on a smartwatch. According to a new report, HTC is still working on a smartwatch, which is expected to be announced in early 2015, according to a report from CNET.

Traces about the Taiwanese smartphone maker working on a smartwatch were seen in an official video in July. The report further says that HTC is working hard on the smartwatch to make sure it stands out from the crowd. No other details or specifications about the HTC smartwatch are known as of yet.

The smartwatch market is getting pretty crowded with LG, Samsung, Sony and Motorola whose devices run on Google’s Android Wear. Also, earlier this week, Apple launched the iWatch that will not be ready until 2015.

Just yesterday, HTC sent out press invites for ‘Double Exposure’ event on October 8 but it is not clear what the company will announce at the event.
