Intel has joined hands with US based footwear maker New Balance to work on an Android Wear powered smartwatch that is particularly aimed at athletes. The smartwatch is said to enable runners to “focus on their training so they can constantly improve performance.”

Casio has announced WSD-F10, the first rugged Android Wear smartwatch at the CES 2016. Apart from water resistance up to 50 meters, this is also built to military standard specifications (MIL-STD-810G) so that it can withstand a variety of rugged activities. It has dedicated apps designed to measure changes in the natural environment and track activity levels. It has a 1.32-inch (320 x 300 pixels) dual layer display with monochrome and color LCDs. Asus ZenWatch 2 launched in India starting at Rs. 11999

Asus today launched the ZenWatch 2, its latest Android Wear smartwatch in India. It was announced at the Computex 2015 in June last year and went on sale in the U.S. through Google Store in October 2015. The ZenWatch 2 comes in two models, WI501Q with a 1.63″ (320×320 pixels) 278ppi AMOLED display and WI502Q with a 1.45″ (280×280 pixels) 273ppi AMOLED display.
