LG announced their first tablet in nearly two years at IFA 2013 in Berlin – LG G Pad 8.3. The G Pad 8.3 has its design language from the company’s current flagship, G2 and has a very big 8.3inch display. We managed to get our hands on the LG G Pad 8.3 and do check out that video right below.

So far all the flagship smartphones had a 5-inch starting from the Micromax Canvas A100. Even the Micromax Canvas 4 that we reviewed recently had a 5-inch HD display. Micromax launched the Canvas Doodle 2 A240 recently with a 5.7-inch HD display at a price tag of Rs. 19,990. We reviewed the first A111 Canvas Doodle last month, which was launched back in May. Even though the Doodle comes under the Canvas series, it was not the company’s flagship phone. The Canvas Doodle 2 costs twice as much as the first Doodle. LG device with the codename – LG D820 has passed the FCC for approval last week, now images of the same device has been spotted in the FCC filings. First spotted by PhoneScoop, these images look similar to the upcoming Nexus device spotted in the official video that surfaced last week with a large camera. Rovio has updated the Angry Birds Space game with new levels called Cosmic Crystals. The game play is set in exploding crystal planets, in which greedy piggies searching for treasure and the final boss battle is set against a crazy mutant Space Pig! Twitter introduced a closed beta at the end of August, now the app has received a major update that brings a completely new UI with separate tabs for Home, Notifications, Messages, Activity, Trending, Find People and Me. You can swipe to switch between these apps. There is also a Navigation menu for these with notification count that could be re-organized. It uses your Twitter background image as the background for this menu. These is also in-line image previews that could be disabled from the settings. I was in Berlin, Germany for IFA 2013 last week and managed to pick an LTE version of the Nexus 7 2013 which is currently on sale only in a few countries including Germany and UK. We had already unboxed the WiFi only version previous on FoneArena and like always we are always excited about any device with a SIM card slot and here we have the unboxing of the Nexus 7 2013 LTE version.

We covered the launch of the LG G2 in New York just a few weeks back and and this fully loaded smartphone is about to go on sale in the US and several other markets soon. We managed to grab one just in time for a quick unboxing. The G2 is one of the first phones to be powered by the blazing fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor like the Sony XPERIA Z Ultra. LG has done away with all buttons on the front and the sides of the phone and decided to put them on the back for easy access.How do the volume keys and power button look on the back of a phone ? Tablets had been somewhat of a conundrum before Apple came up with the iPad. Only then, it made sense for people to approve and acknowledge a different kind of a computer that swiftly replaced the netbooks of our era. But was it ever enough to replace or outsell the traditional PC and Laptops? Well, according to IDC, the company that constantly releases numbers on the Smartphone market, the last quarter of this year will mark the first time ever that the tablets will outship Traditional PCs, including Desktops as well as Laptops. This might be the biggest coup for Microsoft in India. IRCTC, the notorious Indian Railways train ticket booking website known for its crashes and slowness under usual heavy Indian loads has received an exclusive app for the Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 platforms, developed in partnership with Microsoft. This app will naturally let you book tickets, make PNR enquiries, check booking and cancellation histories and more. But the most important catch here is that the app will not be able to book tickets between 08:00 to 12:00 or 23:30 to 00:30 hrs of any day. Nokia India launched the 114, an affordable feature phone in India back in January earlier this year, now the company has launched the 114 again, but this has Urdu language support along with the Urdu keypad. The Nokia Lumia 925 was launched in London a few months back, as the company’s answer to all the issues related to the Lumia 920.
