WhatsApp recently made the new Material Design update for its app live on the Play Store. Now it has introduced a new Beta version of the app – v2.12.87 that goes another step ahead and replaces any remaining Holo aspects of the UI with Material Design elements. It brings about a few other changes as well.

Google has launched Xolo Chromebook and Nexian Air Chromebook in India. Both these have a 11.6″ (1366 x 768 pixels) IPS display and are powered by a 1.8 GHz Rockchip 3288 Quad-core processor based on ARM Cortex-A17 CPU and has ARM Mali-T764 GPU. These have 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot. The Nexian Air Chromebook has rugged splash-proof design.

Airtel officially launches 4G FD-LTE trials in Chennai, lets customers upgrade to 4G at same price as 3G

After earlier reports, Airtel has officially launched its 4G LTE trails in Chennai. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Chennai becomes the first city in the country to get the Airtel’s FDD-LTE service. It currently offers TDD-LTE services in Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Amritsar. It is currently offering complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G.
