Xiaomi has launched the Mi Band, the company’s first fitness band and sleep tracker. It connects to your Android smartphones running Android via Bluetooth 4.0 low energy (BLE), has a set of sensors that monitors your fitness and tracks your sleep. The data can be share to social networks easily with the companion app that would also offer you health advice. It has aluminum surface and skin-friendly wristband.

Xiaomi has launched Mi 4i, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mi series. It has a 5-inch 1080p fully laminated display from JDI or Sharp with 178-degree viewing angle, is powered by an 2nd generation Octa-Core Snadpragon 615 processor and runs on MIUI v6 on top of Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with visual interactive voice response (IVR) feature built for India. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera from Samsung or Sony with 5-element lens, f/2.0 aperture and two-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens. A bug in iOS 8 allows other users to send apps that in some cases causes your iPhone or iPad to go into an endless boot cycle. This flaw was demonstrated by researches working for Skycure, who demoed the attack on Tuesday.

Facebook Creative Labs has launched Hello for Android, a new Caller ID app that shows you who’s calling you, even if you have not saved the person’s number in your phone.The app also lets you block unwanted calls that go straight to voicemail, which can be reviewed in your recent calls. This directly competes with Truecaller that offers the same caller ID and blocking features. Since the Hello app has Facebook integration, it offers latest info about your contacts and lets you search for people and businesses on Facebook and call them easily. Google unveils Project Fi, a network of networks, for Nexus 6 owners

Google has just unveiled Project Fi, the Mountain View company’s most ambitious foray into the world of mobile networks and carriers. Termed a “network of networks”, Project Fi is all about making connectivity seamless, which Google hopes to achieve by letting you access multiple networks at the same time, mainly by taking technology out of the way of the experience. The “network of networks” currently works only on the Nexus 6, which has support for most of the 4G networks around the world and will house the special SIM which, in the US, will support two 4G capable networks, T-Mobile and Sprint. With an unbelievably simple plan, Google hopes to make connectivity, with international roaming in 120+ countries enabled, less of a hassle.
