HMD Global announces official entry into mobile market, will bring Nokia Android smartphones in H1 2017

Earlier this year Nokia announced that it will be back to the worldwide mobile phone and tablet market and granted exclusive global license to HMD Global, a new company based in Finland to sell Nokia-branded feature phones, Android smartphones and tablets for the next ten years. Last month HMD Global announced its appearance at the MWC that is scheduled between February 27th and March 2nd in Barcelona. LG elevates home appliances head Jo Seong-jin as CEO

HMD global is all set to introduce new Nokia smartphones at the MWC 2017 that is scheduled between February 27th and March 2nd in Barcelona. Specifications of the Nokia D1C Android smartphone already surfaced back in October, now new rumors indicate that the phone might come in two variant with different display, RAM and rear camera. Fitbit is said to be close to buying smartwatch maker Pebble, according to a latest report from The Information. There is no word on the price of the deal but the report says it is for a “small amount”. Some reports are claiming the amount of acquisition between $34-$40 million. Lava has launched X50+, the company’s latest 4G smartphone with support for VoLTE. It has a 5.5-inch HD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that also has LED flash. Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe go on sale in India starting at Rs. 49999

Asus launched the Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphones at the Z3nvolution event in India back in August. Today the company has announced that both these smartphones are available in the country. The Zenfone 3 Ultra has a 6.8-inch 1080p display with 79% Screen to Body Ratio and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor. The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 820 / 821 SoC with 6GB of RAM.
