Facebook has confirmed that it is shutting down Moments; its standalone private photo sharing app. The app’s services will be discontinued on Feb. 25th. Twitter now lets anyone create Moments from mobile apps

Earlier in September this year, Twitter opened its Moments tool for everyone that allowed its users to create their own stories using tweets and photos via desktop. The micro blogging site has now expanded this service to its mobile apps on Android and iOS.
