Xiaomi Mi CC9 and CC9e with AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, 32MP front camera, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Xiaomi just announced Mi CC9 and CC9e smartphones in the new CC series in China, as it had promised. Both the phones feature AMOLED display from Samsung, seventh gen in-display fingerprint scanner, 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 32-megapixel front camera sensor from Samsung that merges four pixels to form large 1.6μm pixels for better low-light images and AI beautify mode.

Vivo’s iQOO just announced iQOO Neo, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone, after the top-end iQOO smartphone earlier this year. This has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ water drop notch with 90.0% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by last year’s Snapdragon 845 with liquid cooling, 8GB of RAM, runs Android Pie, has a 12-megapixel primary rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor for portrait shots. There is also a 12-megapixel camera on the front.

NVIDIA to use Samsung 7nm EUV for next-gen GPUs

NVIDIA has confirmed that it will use Samsung’s 7nm process with EUV (extreme ultra violet) lithography technology for its next-gen GPUs. This was confirmed by NVIDIA Korea chief Yoo Eung-joon during a press conference in Seoul. The company has been using TSMC’s 12 nm FinFET process technology for its RTX 20 series, after relying on Samsung’s 14nm process technology for GTX 1050 cards.

Samsung Galaxy Note10 announcement scheduled for August 7

After rumors, Samsung has finally sent out invites for the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York on August 7 where it is expected to unveil the flagship Galaxy Note10 smartphone. The teaser shows S Pen with a new design drawing a camera, which clearly shows the camera in the top center of the screen as rumored earlier. Samsung says that it will unveil ‘new devices designed to take the Galaxy ecosystem’s connectivity to the next level’, so we can expect multiple Galaxy Note10 versions.
