Telegram v6.3.0 update brings up to 2GB file sharing, profile videos, mini chat list thumbnails and more

Telegram has released a new update for their app, bringing the version to 6.3.0. The update brings a bunch of new features like the ability to add profile videos, improved People Nearby, increased size limit to 2GB when sharing files, mini chat thumbnails, group stats and more.

HUAWEI Maimang 9 5G with 6.8-inch FHD+ display, Dimensity 800, 64MP triple rear cameras announced

HUAWEI just announced Maimang 9, the company’s latest 5G smartphone in the Maimang series in China. It packs a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 90.33% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and runs Android 10 with EMIUI 10.1 on top. It has a 64-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Inside the punch-hole screen on the front there is a 16-megapixel camera. Vivo Y51s 5G with 6.53-inch FHD+ display, Exynos 880, 48MP triple rear cameras announced

Vivo has silently announced Y51s, the company’s latest 5G smartphone in China. It has a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 90.72% screen-to-body ratio, houses a 16-megapixel camera in the punch-hole and is powered by  Samsung Exynos 880 SoC with built-in SA & NSA dual-mode 5G. The phone also uses 90mm liquid-cooled heat dissipation heat pipes and multi-layer PGS graphite heat sinks close to 10,000 square millimetres, combined with thermally conductive gel that promises up to 10° C temperature reduction. After teasers, Black Shark today confirmed that it will introduce Black Shark 3S gaming phone on July 31st in China. This is the successor of the Black Shark 3 smartphone that was introduced back in March along with the Black Shark 3 Pro. Since this is not a major upgrade, the phone is said to feature a similar design, but it is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 865+ compared to Snapdragon 865 and might move from UFS 3.0 to 3.1. Twitter records $683 million in revenue; average mDAU of $186 million in Q2 2020

Twitter has released their earnings release for the second quarter of 2020, reporting a growth of 34% YoY in Monetizable Daily Active Usage (mDAU) at $186 million, thanks to the increase in conversation around current global events. Revenue, however, was recorded at $683 million for Q2 2020, which calculates to a decline of 19% compared to the same period last year.

Apple starts production of the iPhone 11 in India

In a move that boosts the “Make in India” initiative, Apple has started producing their flagship smartphone, the iPhone 11, locally in India at the Foxconn plant near Chennai. This was confirmed by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. The iPhone 11 will be joining the iPhone Xr, as one of the two premium phones that Apple assembles in India.
